I had a number of agents value my property. Jonathan, Manager of the Guildford branch valued the house at the average of all other vaulations. He knew the area and market well, and Curchods do not tie you to a minimum term contract which is why we chose to sell with them.
The photographs of the property looked fantastic! Curchods arranged 3 viewings with buyers on their database for the day after we put the house on the market. We received positive, constructive feedback and were kept fully in the loop at all times. Within 3 weeks we accepted an offer from a cash buyer for our target price.
Each member of the team was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. I simply can't fault their service. I would recommend Curchods to anyone in the area looking to move.

It should be noted right here that they did very limited chain check at the start of the deal and almost never contacted my... Read Full Review
What agent could do to change your mind?
they could have at least bothered at all progressed the whole chain as normal! Managed the first time buyer better - well managed him at all Make better notes stick to what was agreed - treat complaints as serious and make the client feel this complaint will be addressed and that the matters complained about will not happen again

It should be noted right here that they did very limited chain check at the start of the deal and almost never contacted my purchase estate agent, they said .... wait for it ..,..,. its normal to only progress the bottom of the chain I have this in writing form the manager - so rather than reduce my stress at this difficult time in my life they increased by leaving me to progress the top half of the chain myself. I have bought and sold a number of properties and no one has ever refused to progress the whole chain - what on earth are they paid for if not to progress the chain? and what were they telling my buyer ?? whatever it was, it was only half the information as I, the seller, was progressing the top half of the chain.

Justin had assured me they were different and that he progressed all the deals he also, in light of my recent loss promised me he would personally make sure it all went well - which he did not - I was handed to Carrie who seemed ok but no attention to details ever, told me they were not doing a full survey and they were etc etc - I complained and Justin did not address my complaint at all just defended his staff member. They are definitely an agent who look after what they must see as the sharp end of the deal, the buyer, whatever the buyer asked was put straight to me with no rationalisation, and he was a first time buyer so he needed guidance, but all completely unreasonable requests were passed straight to me, no hint of we will really look after you after my recent stressful news, it was very lucky this sale happened at all it certainly had nothing to do with the agent, my buyer just really wanted the house.

The worst estate agency I have ever seen...I made an appointment for viewing one property through this estate agency recently. I arrived at the property on time, but nobody was there. I waited there for 20 minutes but nobody comes. Then I rang the agency, and was told the property was already sold! Why do not they tell me before hand! What a waste of time! To my amazement, they did not even say a word of apology...Terrible experience with Curchod at Guildford.
