I arranged with Jennifer to view a property and on the day, which was last Tuesday, I arrived with a friend. When “Jennifer” arrived she got out of her car, did not greet us just smiled and did not acknowledge my friend when I introduced her, just a nod. At this point it turned out that “Jennifer” was not Jennifer but was Emily. I loved the property and asked Emily to advise the landlord that I would like to rent it and would pay 6 months upfront as I had no renting history. I advised her that I was in a hurry for responses as I was relocating. I was then informed that there were viewings booked for the weekend which the landlord may or may not want to go ahead with. She said she would contact him when she got back to the office. I strongly got the impression that she was not interested in my offer and I had doubts that she would even pass them to the landlord especially as on leaving the property the next viewees arrived and were greeted by Emily with a big smile and a handshake, my immediate thought was that this is the couple she is going to rent to. On Wednesday I phoned Emily to ask for the landlords thoughts only to be told that she hadn't yet contacted him. I reiterated that I was relocating from Kent and needed to make arrangements at my end and she said she would ring him. That was 5 days ago and I'm still waiting for the response. As an ex estate agent myself I know that I should have been greeted in the same way as the 2nd couple; that there should be no favouritism in who gets the property; my offer should have been passed to the landlord ASAP; I should have received a call with the landlords response whatever it may have been. This is obviously not a professional company and having now read their reviews (and excuses) I decided that I needed to view my thoughts too. I am disgusted by the way my enquiry has been handled and would not consider renting a property from this company again.

These clowns deserve zero stars for the appalling way they treated my 63 year old dad. Sending him on a 6 hour round trip, costing him £25 to view an unsuitable property. He enquired about a leasehold property and was told pets were accepted. He specifically requested if this was a... Read Full Review

I'm not generally in the business of leaving bad reviews but this company really are awful. Firstly, I'd imagine we are some of the best tenants a landlord could hope for. Both professional people while my partner is bordering on ocd when it comes to cleanliness. We rented for almost 2 years and... Read Full Review

Everyone I have spoke to who has rented from them before confirmed they too had been victims of dorset lettings and did not recieve the... Read Full Review

Totally unhelpful, unsupportive, and left us really deflated after renting a property through these agents. We were under the impression that we'd have some backup if there were any disagreements with the landlord, however they made no effort to help us with our concerns, directing us back to... Ask about what support they will offer if there are discrepancies in the future. To which they should reply \'we\'d be totally useless\'

Phoned this agent today, to view a property. The agent didn't introduce themselves, and gave a hostile attitude throughout the call, tried to arrange a viewing, however was told they only work until 4.45pm, when questioned how a professional working person (one of the many intrusive questions... Learn some customer service skills, you may well have had some bad tenants, renting your properties but that does mean all tenants will behave this way. Take the massive chip off your shoulder with new customers, luckily there are plenty more agents out there.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
