Every single stage of the tenancy was difficult. Property manager and landlord treated us with contempt most of the time. Took six months to get our deposit back - also note there is a move-out fee which you may not have noticed in your contract. I would highly recommend speaking to Conran in Brockley before deciding to sign with LIFE. LIFE really are the worst agents I have ever dealt with in my 8 years of renting.

We have investigated this and understand that there were issues agreeing on the deposit between tenant and landlord, and there was then a delay in raising a dispute with MyDeposits which was only done before the deadline expired 3 months later. MyDeposits then took a further 3 months to close the case. We apologise for the inconvenience and understand your frustration: it seems this was an unfortunate situation that took a while to resolve, and there was not much LiFE was able to do without landlord consent, legally. 27 Jan 2020LIFE have responded above trying to pin the delayed return of our deposit on the MyDeposits dispute process. While it is true that the dispute process takes time, it ignores and shifts blame away from why we had to dispute our deposit in the first place. LIFE were completely unreasonable in their deductions, trying to charge over the odds for cleaning and repairs following a tenancy marred by unkept promises and an evasive, incompetent property manager - something MyDeposits agreed with us on. LIFE's response also does not address the fact that any issues we had with the flat took months of back and forth emails to resolve. Some repairs which were included on the contract as a stipulation of us signing the tenancy were never completed in the ten months we lived there. Please don't be fooled by their marketing staff's response to this review. This agency's property management processes are not fit for purpose and they work with and represent landlords who have no interest in their tenants or their properties past making money.

Do not rent from this agent!! This is the worst letting agent I have ever dealt with as a tenant. The staff are incompetent at best! Terrible experience from start to finish - Avoid at all costs.
