Over the past 6 months of renting a property through S&S I have encountered numerous problems. Let's start with the viewing; Rachel was kind and semi professional although she was 10 mins late to the viewing and was answering work related calls whilst showing us round. 3-6 months later we are having issues with being billed for business rates on our residential property and paying in excess of £300 in charges by these suppliers. I called S&S and asked why nothing was mentioned at the start of the tenancy. I called the office and asked for a call back because Rachel never seems to be around and can be quite difficult to get hold of, about the matter and I'm met with how it is not her responsibility and all I [Rachel] do it change the bills to your [me] name. To which I asked when the company names 'opus' and 'water2business' were listed did she not think to at least notify myself as these are business only suppliers, surely she would have known that as they deal with commercial properties also. In response I am met with a 10 minute shouting match. This shouting was extremely unprofessional and for most of it I couldn't get a word in. In the end she accepted no responsibility and was very quick to pass the blame on to anyone other than herself. Levi is the most professional of the two I have had to deal with, she is fairly kind and very professional on the phone, the only issue is she has no idea what is going on and struggles to answer even the most basic question regarding the property.

23 Dec 2019Glad its not just me. I'm disgusted with the way I've been treated and also had to call out an emergency contractor as they failed to respond. Worst 1st rental experience ever! I sustained a significant burn because no one would deal with my previously reported very hot water. Shocking and unprofessional!

Blandford. Promises made never kept. Would never recommend completely unprofessional with aggressive and bully boy tactics. Poor contact, issues with listing both timescales and accuracy. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
