We are moving back to the UK from Canada and needed a rental property to get our feet on the ground and found one through Cavendish. We applied, were accepted and paid all the fees AND 6 month's rent in advance. Paid for flights, car hire and hotel to sign for the property on the specified day taking a week out of my life only to be sent an email days before departure that they had removed the property because of a regulation issue with the oil tank THAT THEY KNEW ABOUT 3 MONTHS PREVIOUSLY. Obviously the property should never have been listed but when we complained to the MD, he refused to accept that our loss was their fault. They use the ARLA brand on their website to indicate professionalism but they are anything but in our experience.

All staff here are lazy, they all want something for nothing, don't sort problems in the property until you threaten a formal complaint, then still send the most expensive contractor closest to them! my landlord is paying for a fully managed let, and for what?!? This company are an absolute disgrace. Motivated by greed and no moral standards whatsoever. Shower broke first time I used it was fixed a month later. What agent could do to change your mind?
sue balmforth needs to brush up on her customer service, I found her rude at no point was I even greeted,she ignored my questions or gave a one worded reply. Customer service is not high priority, no explanation on anything, paid £58.00 book out fee ha lasted all of 2 minutes of cavendish time,disgracefull

Using this agency while I was away, They had cowboys in to re-wire the electrics causing them to trip everytime the cooker was used. They had the carpets cleaned leaving them soaking wet causing damp throughout. Not an agency I would recommend. Property advertised for rent with wrong building... Read Full Review
