Awful agents, dishonest and unlawful. In good faith myself and my wife paid a deposit for a property in Belfast. We were in the process of moving so I requested the deposit back in full. He could have not lied and pretend he returned a deposit that we paid his agent, Alisha. £550 pounds of my hard earned money.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
