In good faith myself and my wife paid a deposit for a property in Belfast. We were in the process of moving so I requested the deposit back in full. My wife phoned Goldsmiths and spoke to some guy called Festus with a request to return the cash payment we paid. Not only did he laugh at her on the phone, but he said that our records dont go back that far....then he randomly stated that the deposit was already returned. How is this possible as he didn't even know we were vacating the property. So I contacted him myself after he sent this 'SCAM' letter stating that the deposit was returned in full.....what a complete joke. I have further requested details and a receipt with mine, or my wifes signature on the receipt of the returned money (very standard request). I am still awaiting an answer. With respect to his attitude I believe I am not the only tenant he has said this to. Avoid like the plague, is my advice.
What agent could do to change your mind?
He could have not lied and pretend he returned a deposit that we paid his agent, Alisha. £550 pounds of my hard earned money.

Awful agents, dishonest and unlawful. What agent could do to change your mind?
