MW initially over valued our house to get the business and then despite 2 price reductions failed to deliver hardly any prospect buyers. they are not on Zoopla so miss all the London market moving out. Then when we decided to part exchange for a new build an unqualified member of staff discussed the property with the developer without our knowledge and told them that house was over valued and gave them a much lower figure than the valuations from the 3 agents sent round to value the house by the developer. This subsequently nearly ruined out move and we have ended up having a bigger mortgage than would have been necessary. This was thoughtless and highly unprofessional behaviour and they thought offering some flowers and a bottle of wine would suffice as an apology!! There are much harder working and more professional agents in Saffron Walden like Tom Arkwright from Arkwrights who is a model of professionalism. AVOID Mullucks, like snake oil salesmen they are smooth talkers but poor on results

17 Jul 2018When a client raises a concern Mullucks Wells follow a clear procedure. The complainant was dealt with within this framework by a Residential Director of the firm and contact was made on the same day with a commitment to provide a response in writing provided this occurred within a couple of working days. The complainants felt that they had lost out financially due to the actions of this firm but when we looked through the facts and checked those facts with all parties involved we could not find anything to substantiate such a loss. The complainants made it clear that unless they were financially compensated they would do their utmost to blacken our name and this is the course of action they took when their wishes were not granted. We are part of an independent Ombudsman Scheme and feel that it would have been fairer to have had this complaint dealt with by the Ombudsman, and if the Ombudsman had found in the complainant's favour, then a negative but polite and considered review might have been appropriate. In this instance, we believe this review to be inappropriate.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
