[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]] JVR Properties are unprofessional, rude and quite frankly fraudsters. After dutifully paying my £95 "admin fee" I have since found out this is illegal In scotland. When I contacted Shelter Scotland, they advised me. JVR had to cheek to state that I had never been an applicant!!! Thieves. Luckily I could prove the fact I had paid this money. I would highly reccomend to get on the Shelter website.. http://reclaimyourfees.com/ Ive just been through this process, and yes, as expected.. they were rude etc etc.. But if you can prove the £95 they charged you for admin and credit checks then they have to pay you back. Make sure you do this, its only taken me 2 weeks. They are an awful agency and treat customers awfully (The ones that are aware of their rights anyway!!) sarah [[EDIT ORIGINAL END]] JVR Properties are unprofessional and rude. Never. I have reported them to Trading standards and I urge everyone else to do the same.

6 Sept 2012I have had good dealings with jvr properties but I would like to point out that the admin fee has no become illegal yet as no one knows when this will go ahead it will be this year but it hasn't yet went along. I have recently moved out of my property with jvr and I am no staying in a different property which is with a different agency and this agency charges £200 for an application fee. If you are going to bad mouth the company get the facts right about what will be happening with legal issues. I have found jvr very friendly and helpful everyone tries there hardest to get you into the property as soon as possible. Apps fees are still legal at the moment Sarah you may have got yours back but probably because jvr have really good staff.

JVR properties were a disaster from start to finish do not go near them! They gladly took their commission every month, but did little else. Tenants were told to do their own inventory then send it in to them, did not undertake regular property inspections, took forever to pay rent in to our... Read Full Review

Utterly incompetent, unreliable staff who frankly lie to cover poor practise. The have demonstrated that they are only concerned with taking money from the tenant and landlord, with no real emphasis being placed on assurances and service. Stay well... Read Full Review

Their own terms and conditions stated in the lease documents were not followed by JVR from the outset. They attempt to charge spurious, invented costs to the tenant at every opportunity, from before the lease is signed until after the property is vacated. They refused to let me enter the property... Very bad agency, always a hassle to get things fixed during my 2 year residence in one of their properties. Landlord comes first, tenant last for every issue. From my 800 pounds deposit they gave me back 12.50 and I cleaned that apartment spotless before leaving and the flat was an old flat and... Read Full Review

I cannot but rate this agent zero if allowed. They are rude and are thieves, they are bad for repairs, they simply will not respond to your mails. And when we moved out they formed all sort of lies from claiming we took things that were not in the house to saying we spoilt an irritating toaster... Read Full Review
