I have been looking online at properties to buy, and have seen a property which I am very interested in. I have tried to contact Reeds Rains a number of times with no response. I tried to contact them through their Zoopla listing and have had no reply. I decided that maybe Zoopla's contact service may be the problem so went direct to the Reeds Rains website to find contact details. I sent an email to the listed email address asking for more details on this property, ensuring I attached a link to the listing I was talking about. Still not response. Next I found the listing on their website again, this time choosing to click "Arrange a viewing" because surely to arrange a viewing they will need to contact me. I received an automated reply Thanking me for "requesting to arrange a property viewing" and telling me that "A member of the team from the local branch will be in touch shortly to arrange a date and time to suit you" - I recieved that 4 days ago and still have had no contact from them. How do they expect to sell property without contacting potential buyers?

Unfortunately Reeds Rains seem to use underhand tactics to create a bidding war - citing GDPR as a reason they cannot disclose current offers on their properties, which is not true. I did a tenant find last year. The initial service was good, but the renewal has been awful beyond compare. Contract was done incorrectly, put live even though incorrect and 4 months later still hasn't been rectified. I've been passed from pillar to post and even the branch... Read Full Review

I think the reference fees are high but fairly consistent with other agencies' fees . I hope the fees are soon reduced or abolished under Gvt proposals
