Worst experience in my life.... 1star is even too good for them! Please try to avoid romans staines! I rented a propert for nerly 1.5 years. Problems started when I asked to repair the dishwasher which was not working from day 1. Property manager Amena will ignore all your e mails, would not even read them (every time when I called she had no idea about the e mails i sent). It took them 7months to send someone to check the dishwasher who just said oh yeah it is broken and that was it, never heard anything since then, kept being ignored until my check out. When I tried to call she kept interrupting me, didn't let me finish my sentences and even tried to charge me �75 for sending a contractor to check the dishwasher. Very very rude person, please don't be fooled! Following is probably more important. Amena and her check out team will scam you which is guaranteed! During the check out I was there in person, and in 2 hours that I was there nothing was asked of me, so I assumed everything is going well. Then she just said we are done and we need to leave. I asked whether there were any problems that I should know before we leave the place and she reassured me that there was nothing in the report just some wear and tear and very minor things which won't be a problem. She even said I will see the report soon, most of the notes will be for land lady rather than me. Next thing I know Amena sends me a report with approx �300 charge which was deducted from my deposit. For example: �25 for scratches in the wardrobe, which was done by previous tenant. I found the previous report and sent to Amena to confirm that it was already there, but she wouldn't listen. She kept saying that this is the charge because we didn't let land lady know of this so she could repair in advance. If I have not done this why should I report it? Then they couldn't find one of the cushions apprently, which was in the flat. Why would I leave 1 cushion in the flat and take another one with me? I explained that if there was a problem with locating something during the check out why noone asked me? I sat there for 2 hours, i could have shown where it was... I could not convince Amena that cushion was in the flat and that it was their fault for not locating it, even asked if they would let me go to the flat for 10mins to show where it was, and she still did not allow. So �20 for a cushion.... I asked to be reasonable at least, you can buy a new cushion for �10 on amazon, but she kept ignoring and interrupting me. But I only realised this was a scam when they wanted to charge me to remove a lamp (land lady's lamp) which they believed it was mine and I left it there because it was too big... They wanted to charge �140 to remove it. Apprently the way they do it, during the check in process they will not take photos of some stuff e.g lamp, iron board, and when you check out they will charge crazy amount to remove it. And even if you want to remove those yourself they won't allow you to enter the flat. So make sure all items are clearly listed and photos are taken! I tried to talk to Amena, tried to explain as I thought she will understand but no ignored every single e mail, and during the call she was so rude that I did not want to deal with her for another second. I could have disputed it and most like to make most of it in my favor, but knowing that they are involved, and I would have to deal with them, I did not think it was worth it. That is how much stress they created, and for what �300. I just said to deduct it and I don't want to hear from romans again. This is apprently normal way of working for romans, they don't see you as their customers, so be prepared to be treated like crap by Amena and her team.
