My partner and I found our flat via gibson lane who works on behalf of these guys because their reputation is THAT bad that they cannot even advertise for themselves anymore. only on the day we signed the contract we found out we are actually not going to sign with gibson lane but these guys. we then got the keys..well we got the key for our flat door for one of us not even 2 sets, for some reason the main door is always open wide to everyone but i will come back to this later on. we had discussed that we would have a couch and certain things fixed and nothing was done. since it was a saturday and the company is not available on weekends AT ALL we had to wait til monday to raise this. this was already a first breach of contract. after a while we slowly noticed more issues and raised them with Monika who apparently does first responses for all the incoming emails for their company. I'm not kidding when I say I have a 32 page document with issues we had with them so I'm not going to get into everything. I also want to mention that we NEVER EVER experienced anything like this before and we are a couple who is nice and friendly and keeps things clean. The company also had issues with pigeon nuisance in this building, so nets and all kind of spikes have stolen the last bit of beauty this building had. Might want to mention that these people went into our flat without our permission or us being there. This is a big thing but trust me compared to the other issues we had there, it wasn't suddenly that big anymore. We had a rat appearing in our kitchen (FLAT 16,MAGNUM HOUSE) because there was a hole in the wall behind the furniture. THEY NEVER FIXED IT/ GOT RID OF IT. It is probably still there. Soon we noticed a lot of noise at night and dirt in the main halls. We then found out that homeless people would come into the building and stay there for the night as the entrance door is always unlocked. I notified the landlord and was told to raise it with the police. Apparently there was no need to fix the door and it wasn't their issue. So the next night we did as advised and opened a case with the police, who then contacted the landlord to advise that this cannot happen any longer. (found out this went on for years already). It then seemed the landlord all of a sudden did not like the fact that we got the police involved even though they advised us to do so and sent us a notice letter. To sum this up, we asked them to fix a huge security issue for everyone in the building and they rather throw us out than fix something. We had a few chats with people who were living there before we moved in and quickly realized that all these people were silenced. If they do complain, they have to move....... Quick advise. STAY AWAY from these guys. Do a bit of research and you will soon find out that these guys changed names and play hide and seek with their company and their employees for a reason. If you get an email from them, they cannot even afford a signature, neither will any of their staff give you their last name. They think they get away with everything because they mainly deal with students. There is a whole 40 page thread on the Kingston Student Website on how students should not rent from them. Google it. Shady shady shady. Everything about it was shady. We even had to fight for the deposit. Until now we don't even know if the person Richard Elby really exists. We never got face to face with anyone from this company. We also paid too much rent. All together we only stayed there for 6 months. If you went for this company and had the same experience, do not let them scare you off. They will pull out so much unprofessionalism and threaten you with all kinds but stay within your rights. One word to sum them up, bullies. I wouldn't even give them one star if I didn't have to.
