Found the most amazing perfect flat through Taylor's which suited me and my flat mate perfectly. On the day of signing everything went smoothly with all the admin fees etc discussed (which were extortionate), then we were told we needed to take out a monthly tenant insurance per person! This was not explained to us at all until we had pens in our hands ready to sign. When we said we didn't need it as it was for personal belongings and neither of us had anything of real value we were told the contract would not be completed until we signed it, so we agreed but then only to be told the monthly fee was per person!!! Do these people know what their doing?? We were told the flat had been professionally cleaned was wasn't the case. It was very dirty and dusty and a lot of things had been left off of the Intinery, when we called to complain they then changed the story to the landlords friend had been in there cleaning for hours!! After settling in we experienced a problem with the fuse box that kept tripping. It was a Sunday afternoon, so we called the emergency line they gave us to which no one answered. After many attempts we managed to contact the landlord direct who sent her electrition straight away. When we spoke to Taylor's on the following day they informed us that the EMERGENCY number we were given was no longer in use! Only thanks to the landlord the problem was sorted. The second problem was a leak in one of the bedrooms. It was a Saturday afternoon, we called the new number which went straight to answer phone so we left a message, we then called the office and explained the situation, they were gonna get someone to call us. We never got that call. Once again we contacted the landlord who dealt with it herself. I would never again take a property from Taylor's nor would I recommend them as a middle man. Our landlord was paying them to manage the property, not once did they manage!!! Oh and very delayed on paying back the bond until prompted. Simply awful.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
