I have moved out of a property nearly 2 weeks ago and am really dissatisfied with the service I have received. I have contacted farrell heyworth every day to be told they will ring me back but nobody ever does. They easily took my money but are holding on to it now. I am going to be taking this much further as they have all given me the worst experience. I have rented many places before and none have treated me like this before. The lettings staff are a shambles. I now have been told they can only take it further on Monday!

12 Jun 2015Dear Caroline, I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the service you have received from our lettings department. All of our managed properties are subject to an inventory check, by our staff, both before a tenants moves into a property and once the tenancy comes to an end. If, following these checks a managed property requires any repairs or maintenance we are contractually obliged to retain the clients deposit until the matter has been resolved. It is necessary to carry out some maintenance to the property you rented following your tenancy. We have arranged for an independent contractor to provide a quote for the work to be carried out. We are expecting to receive that quote on Monday and at that point either myself or one of my colleagues will be able to give you further information about how the dispute can be resolved. Every tenant is important to us and we take customer satisfaction very seriously. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
