Please please please stay away from Bridgfords. The problems first started 3 weeks after moving in when we received a letter saying they was coming round for an inspection, ok but then we saw what day at time it was that's when we noticed they were due in 1 hour from us receiving the letter, so to out further shock 10 mins later there was a knock at the door and this man just pushed his way inside. During the inspection he insisted on checking in my wardrobe and underwear draw, when I asked why he just said it was policy and left. 2 Weeks later to our shock we received another letter saying they was coming for another inspection this went on for months them wanting to come and inspect the house every month until we had enough and told them no and stopped letting them in (we passed the inspection every time), so what did bridgfords do ?? They broke in; they climbed in through a window at 9am on a Friday morning when I was asleep in bed. I got such a shock when I walked downstairs to find two men stood in my kitchen I was screaming at them who they were but they would not tell me, so after calling the police they finally admitted they was from bridgfords and said they though the house was abandoned, when my car was parked on the driveway and I was still paying £1000 pcm ? So after that event I no longer felt safe in the house on my own plus they asked the neighbours to spy on me and falsely reported me for neglect to the RSPCA (after them checking my cats out and I had just paid over 3K in vets bills for a scan they told bridgfords to stop being childish and it's illegal to make false reports) I moved into my parents, but there is a happy ending to this story I have since been awarded £5000 damages from the court from bridgfords. So if you are a tenant and they are harassing you and you feel they are doing things you're not happy with do not stand for it, I hate to think how many other people this has happened to and they have gotten away with it. P.S Just handed my keys back yesterday now waiting for my bond, lets see how well that go's.
Stop harassing tenant’s and under no circumstances break into their house.

29 Aug 2014We are shocked with the comments as we have just pay an agent fee of 360 pound in Bridgfords for a 2bed apartment in the city center of Manchester.they had insured us that we would receive the keys by 29th of August.Today, on 28th of August they told us to sent them our references, bank details.personal details two ours after they sent us the mail. They threatened us that they would remarketed the house otherwise. We got extremely anxious as we were ready to deposit the rent and move to the apartment on 30th of August. We called them several time for instructions about the data that they needed. After the 4th call they finally replied and were extremely upset and rude pretending that everything was our fault. We thought to visit their office tomorrow but after these comments we would like to know if we ca take back our agent fees and find another accomodation. What should we do?

Ben was amenable, friendly, professional and well organised. He was perfectly happy to help us as soon as he arrived at the office and kept us updated regularly. If all the team are like him, I look forward to being a tenant through Bridgfords. A credit to... Read Full Review

This letting agency is a disgrace. We rented a property and upon moving in the property had clearly not been professionally cleaned as it stated, it was uninhabitable and absolutely disgusting. We had to pay £180 for someone to come out to professionally clean all the carpets, sofa and... Read Full Review

Spoke to a lady just now, she said they accept housing benefit, but won't let Leeds Housing conduct an inspection of the property first to make sure it's suitable for living. She said the landlord doesn't allow this, I asked if the property has any faults or is it considered... Read Full Review

I placed my property for rent with Bridgfords and within 48 hours we had a tenant. The Wakefield team have been fully supportive throughout the whole process. They were brilliant. Today my new delighted tenants took over the keys and are moving in as I write. I can wholeheartedly recommend... Read Full Review

I have never come across a estate agency like this before, after getting advise from the mortgage advisor. It took 8 month from putting in an offer and acceptance to getting the key for our home which we wish we had never had, we have had nothing but trouble. Don't pay for mortgage advisor as they...
