I bought my house in March 2023 based on 5 promises, all of which Barratt Homes have repeatedly failed to deliver on: 1 - "...the latest water and energy saving appliances as standard" The Zanussi dishwasher was outdated. The manufacturer recommended a more efficient model with superior water ... Read Full Review

Buying a house from Barratt's was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. There has been nothing but failures. - Our garden had been under water all winter, the ground has rotted and there are flies everywhere. - The land surrounding our house is a desert of water logged clay, ... Where do I start! I purchased a house from Barratts in 2021 and the moment i opened the front door the headache started. Over 300+ issues, lies from staff, staff making personal comments about me to suppliers. Forced to sign settlement agreement for a refund - they laid the wrong carpets! it ... Read Full Review

Barratt Development is worse builders on market. Do not purchase any property built by Barratt! They are under investigation by CMA (Governement) for misleading consumers and writing leases that ONLY benefit them. Ground rent doubles every few years! Do not fall for fake reviews you read on here. I ... Read Full Review

becareful of buying any barratt home as many are subject to these fraudulent estate charge. They build an estate an often keep a small parcel of land on the estate (often the size of the land is a garden) they then create a deed that sign your freehold house to paying exorbitant fee for looking ... Please please do not give your money to these thieves. We moved into our home in July 2017 and we have had problem after problem. The customer service team are rude and unhelpful. You spend all of your time chasing repairs when you should be enjoying your new home. We have also got a water logged ... Read Full Review

Absolutely shocking. An unsealed bedroom window has allowed rain water to leak in and find its way down to our living room ceiling, this all happened within the first week of moving in. 5 years later the issue has still not been resolved due to a botched attempt with silicone sealant! They are ... Read Full Review

The worst thing we've ever done is to buy a Barrratt home. We now know that they cut corners in the building process to save money, but the worst thing is the corrupt 'management company' RMG (in reality just a Mafia-style syndicate), which we're enslaved to, which was chosen by ... I am very un happy with Barratt homes and there staff as they haven't got a clue how to build a property to a 100% standard and I'm not the only person on this estate that is having problems and Geoff Cole is in charge and when meeting him he had no clue what he was talking about and ordered wrong ... I didnt pay any fees and my rent is £145 a week and if you ask me the flat isn't worth that and should only be £90 to a £100 a week and no more as very poor standard of build
