Honestly, simply terrible estate agents.
- on multiple occasions they let workman into and on the property without prior permission.
- have tried several times (including today) to try and get access on less than 24 hours notice.
- managed a situation with the LandLord terribly, we ended up sacrificing our patio (around 10% of the property) for 7 weeks, only received £300 compensation despite having a value in the thousands (if you did the maths on the area rented). The patio was the main reason for choosing this property, and we were deprived of it during the few, nice, summer months.
-property looked habitable, but as it was recently converted from an office, none of the administration was really done. Still getting letters in the name of a business and not had much clarity over our billing situation.
- In general not treated me with respect. When paying approx £6000 a month you'd have thought this would be a given, apparently not.
Naturally there is a chance Sandfords may review this, however I am happy to upload email chains demonstrating their repeated failings (and clumsy apologies). I am choosing not to do this as to not dox the individuals who work here, although, if they reply to this with any attempt to deny, I will update my review with ample evidence.
In hindsight, wish I went with a bigger agent. Especially at the high end, Sandfords were totally lacking in the customer care and attention I would have expected.

- They impose real fear on tenants by sending emails demanding 'immediate' payments of any deposit deductions - that are in excess of the original deposit.
- Be very careful with this letting agent, it seems they are literally banking on you to idly oblige to everything they demand.

The people at Sandfords told us from the beginning that they could easily sell our property. This is exactly what they went on to do. They only brought buyers who took a real interest in the property and always gave fair notice of the viewings. Knowledgeable in their local area, honest, intelligent and active; these are ways I can describe the Sandfords team.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
