Although we didn’t end up buying our property through them I have had many dealings with Rush Witt & Wilson Bexhill and have to say I’m shocked at the reviews, which is why I’ve taken the time to write my own.
Whilst searching for our first family home last year we signed up with most agents in Bexhill. Rush Witt and Wilson were one of only two agents that did not harass us with phone calls trying to persuade us to use their mortgage advisor or take us to properties not suited for our needs. (we did actually end up using their advisor because he came highly recommended from a third party and not because we felt pressured to).
The viewing assistants were attentive, but did not hover around you like your shadow. After each viewing they listened to our feedback, and refined our search criteria before suggesting the next lot of viewings.
We actually had an offer accepted on a house with them, and when the seller upped the price by £20,000 after agreeing to our offer and us paying out for searches (all thanks to another estate agent trying to get him on their books and over pricing), John personally called us to apologise.
Please don’t be put off by the other reviews. There are very few estate agents that I would choose to deal with in the future... Rush Witt and Wilson Bexhill are one of those.

I have bought and sold property 5 times in the last 20 years and these are the worst estate agents I have ever come across. They advised us our buyers were cash only which is what we requested. I have bought and sold property 5 times in the last 20 years and these are the worst estate agents I have ever come across. They advised us our buyers were cash only which is what we requested. It turns out this was not the case and the buyers had a property to sell which formed a chain which broke when the buyers sale fell through leaving us with an additional legal bill. They then stated they had another cash buyer who had already sold and were living in rented accommodation in Bexhill. Turns out she lived in Wiltshire. Although we were the ones paying their commission they appeared to be acting in favour of the buyer rather than us. Be warned.

Well that was different I was sent to view a property that hadn't even been built yet ??!!! The estate agent knew we needed to move within the next 3 months and I asked him if there were 2 bed properties ready to move into. He told me there were some ready and some nearly finished. How unprofessional. The 2 beds aren't even out of the ground yet. I feel sorry for anyone who is trying to sell through rush Witt and Wilson Bexhill, as I won't be recommending them .

They promise they are different and it is all about service which is why I agreed to pay 1 1/2 % commission instead of the 1% commission of property cafe. -But what a mistake!! For a start they said if review the pictures before they put them on line to check I was happy - Stuart spent along time telling me how important that was - but they didn't!
He then explained that they'd give me feedback
About every viewing - they didn't!
He then promised to do an updated EPC in the price - he didn't.
I called again and again to query - each time someone said they'd call back - no one did!
I finally got to speak to Stuart and it was like I was speaking to another person he was rude and arrogant and at one point just laughed down the phone to me when I said I'd like a reduction in the paid commission because the EPC was not done and that had been part of the sold package which bridged some of the difference in the commission prices.
It he manner he spoke to me was awful. I could handle it just but it left me shaking but in a town of so many elderly people if hate to think how it would impact them.
I trusted him and used them because of the service. I'm not surprised now to see similar reviews....
Stuart kept repeating himself that he felt they done a good perfect job selling the house at the asking price in a short time but I chose them because of the service he promised as well.... I feel betrayed and would warn others to be careful as they change as soon as they think they have your property.
I really wish I'd never used them and I would never recommend using them again

I have had my flat on the market with Rush Witt and Wilson for over 4 months now and have had about 5 people come to view it.
The flat is beautiful, a road away from the sea with 2 bedrooms and a balcony and a share of the freehold. Firstly they completely over valued my flat to get me to sign up with them and then failed to communicate over the following months... I had to ring them to try to get feedback from the few people that did view.
Appalling service - known apparently for their 'laid back' attitude. In my opinion they're a bit too big for their boots and couldn't really care less about their customers. Avoid.
