I wouldn't even give Adams Lettings one star!! I have stupidly rented through them twice and both times they have been dishonest and failed to give me my full deposit back!! They're absolute thieving crooks who are rude and think they're above us lowly renters. I don't... Read Full Review

I wouldn't even give Adams Lettings one star!!
I have stupidly rented through them twice and both times they have been dishonest and failed to give me my full deposit back!!
They're absolute thieving crooks who are rude and think they're above us lowly renters. I don't know how they sleep at night!!
I would not recommend using them, even if you're desperate like I was. It's not worth the stress! Next time I'd rather sleep on the streets than rent though them!

If you are a landlord who has no conscience then Adams may be good for you. On the other hand if you are looking to rent a property do not touch them with a barge pole. If you are a landlord who has no conscience then Adams may be good for you. On the other hand if you are looking to rent a property do not touch them with a barge pole. My son and 4 other students at Bournemouth University rented a house through Adams. As the summer passed it became apparent that the building had a terrible damp and mould problem, Adams were reluctant to act, so they brought dehumidifiers which collected litres of water. soon the mould was getting on to their clothes, even when they were inside bags. My Son suffers from CFS and this was making his illness worse. Another tenant had asthma and he was suffering, even painting his room in anti mould paint. After many phone calls and emails Adams still refused to take any action and tried to blame the tenants saying they must be drying washing in the house, not airing the rooms properly or not having the heating on enough. The mould on the walls was visible and spread fast. Adams did nothing to help and when it came to getting their deposit back, tried to claim unfair damage payments, one for a piece of furniture that was never in the property.

Adams Letting Agents were, from the start, unhelpful and even rude. Every time there was an issue with the house that we tried to get sorted, Adams were slow to respond, or more often than not, unresponsive. They frequently ignore emails about the problems that there were with the house but then very quick to contact us when they felt we owed them money. We went to the office in Winton to try to speak to someone face to face about the issues that there were with the house, we were told to put it in an email. When we told them we had already emailed them numerous times about it they did not seem to care. It has been over a month since we have moved out and we have still not received our deposit back. This estate agent cares not for the quality of life you have in the houses that they have to let.
