I've found the level of service from PG Estates nothing less than abhorrent. Emails are consistently not replied to and when they have tried to contact me and my flatmate they have neglected to include one of us on the email. This was the case with a renewal email where my flatmate had no idea it had been sent until 10 days later when I was able to tell her after I'd both been travelling for business.
When I said I wanted to leave I was given no guidance, no reply to an email asking for guidance until I was asked by a different agent if someone could view the property.
There appeared to be no single agent in charge, just a collection of incompetents and juniors who had no idea about the property, the landlord and us. The flat was originally at the Brick Lane office, but we also had the Islington Office get involved as well, adding to the confusion.
My flatmate lived in the flat over 3 years, me 2 years. By the end of the tenancy we were circumnavigating the agents completely to get in touch with the landlord as they were not passing messages on as they had promised; just like they didn't from him to us.
I've rented for quite some time, but I have never in my life come across a more inefficient and ineffective practices from an agency and such ambivalence towards doing a good job.
Avoid them at all costs.

They take all the hassle and worry out of owning a rental property. Their care in selecting suitable tenants is thorough and the financial aspects are dealt with very efficiently.
Florence Dring in the maintenanace department has developed very good relationships with local builders and other service providers necessary in maintaining a property over many years. Her attention to detail and professional advice is second to none. I am thankful that I chose P.G.Estates. By way of comparison, a short experience that I had with another local chain agent allowed me to see how superior the service offered by PGE is. With PGE your property will be handled by all the staff with as much care as if it was their own. This is a local agent with long term roots to the area and you could not do better than to choose them.

We had nothing particular to say about PGEstate until a few days ago:
We had an important issue about water leaking from the guttering into one of the rooms. We contacted PGEstate: a person was sent on the day we reported the issue, and the problem was fixed a few days after that.
We really appreciated the excellent reactivity, and would like to thank PGEstate for that.

We have a number of properties in the Spitalfields / Shoreditch area which have been let and managed by PG Estates since they took over our original agents in 2008. We have always found them to be very effective in dealing with issues in a timely fashion and ensuring both we and the tenants are kept abreast of what is happening. PG Estates have also been very good at ensuring we have minimal void periods and market level rents. We feel the rates they charge are very reasonable and in a crowded market they stand apart as good, honest and effective agents. We are happy to recommend them.

Extremely helpful and flexible with the whole process of referencing, contract signing and exchanging of keys which made it a very smooth process of moving.
Had a problem with the water pressure when first moved in and they acted and responded quickly.
Everyone who we've dealt with have been friendly and conscious to help out as much as possible with our requests/problems!
Overall, had a very good experience with PG Estates, would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent letting agent,
Thoroughly helpful, informative, and caring of tenants needs. First time renting in London and felt very welcome from the moment we viewed the flat. Extremely quick turnover, viewed the flat on a Tuesday and had moved in by the following Sunday. Good management team, our shower pressure wasn't working properly and it got fixed the next day.
Overall positive feedback, myself and my girlfriend would highly recommend PG estates.

Complaints Handling Policy
Our complaints policy
We are committed to providing a high-quality lettings service. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.
If you have a complaint, please contact us with the details. We have nine weeks to consider your complaint. If we have not resolved it within this time you may complain to the Property Ombudsman.
What will happen next?
1. We will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your complaint within three days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure.
2. We will then investigate your complaint. This will normally involve passing your complaint to the office manager, who will review your complaint and speak to any relevant member of staff who has dealt with you. She will do this within 15 days of sending you the acknowledgement letter and will send you a detailed written reply to your complaint, including her suggestions for resolving the matter.
3. At this stage, if you are still not satisfied, you should contact us again and we will arrange for Ed Gormley (the director of the company) to review the decision.
4. We will write to you within 15 days of receiving your request for a review, confirming our final position on your complaint and explaining our reasons.
5. If you are still not satisfied, you can then contact the:
