the fees that are charged across the board are terrible. Peter Alan are out to take as much money as possible and when you ask for a break down of what the charges are for they cannot offer this information.

I have just been released form a tenancy early with lots of difficulty. I decided to opt for a 2 year lease due to the charges attached to the renewal of a contract. I informed the branch of my situation and requested they re advertise my property, this was June. I would call the agent assigned to my property weekly to be told that they have had lots of viewing but no takers and this went on for 4 months. The point where things changed was when I said I would not be making any further rent payments and to some miracle the property was let less than two weeks after this point. Peter Alan are now trying to charge me £266.76 to cover the cost of advertising the property when my landlord is paying for a fully managed package. They are also refusing to issue me with a refund of rent owed along with my bond until I've paid the invoice issued which simply reads "Landlord set up fee" which isn't good enough by any means. the cardiff branch are being deliberately obstructive and unhelpful. I would recommend that you avoid Peter Alan at all costs if you can. They are only interested in making money and customer services doesn't exist.

I haven't paid anything for buying my house, and Hopefully i got out of helping Angela get paid any commission on the conveyancer.
Bad enough that I almost pulled out of buying on a few occasions. This was a case of wanting the House bad enough to grin and bear it. While I was looking for a house, Amy was fantastic, she was professional, had good customer service, all was good. Then I put an offer on one, had it accepted and then had to deal with Angela. She was patronising that I didn't understand the process (first time buyer). She directed their preferred conveyancer on my behalf after I actually asked them not to, so I could have a look around for cheaper options (they were asking an extortionate amount). When I directed my chosen conveyancer I had an email from Angela to say I was taking too long and the seller had received a higher (and Cash) offer and I should go with their conveyancer because they had already opened a file and started working on my case and it was in my best interest to be quick about it. I was upset so I called and asked their conveyancer to not do anything, I would not pay because I had not once asked them to work for me. My conveyancer was brilliant and quick so I managed to avoid Angela's threat of losing my new property to this better offer (Although if there was a better offer on the table, why on earth didnt they go for it anyway?) Angela was also negligent with responding to my emails when it didn't give her the information she wanted, e.g I asked for boiled service records and eventually had to go to her manager to get any response. Overall, mostly unhappy with Angela although the other Peter Alan branches I've dealt with have been useless also (I'm having to pay for my flat, with unfixed heating and boiler issues for an extra 3 months, because they won't let me out of my rental contract) I would never in a million years recommend this company to anyone I liked.
