If you're looking to buy 16 Austin Avenue, Bridgend, I am happy to share my survey/experience so that you don't waste your time to the tune of almost £600. I was the second buyer in six months who had attempted to purchase the property.
The survey highlighted a number of serious issues totalling around £20k worth of work. The seller was not interested in negotiation and pulled the house from the market citing sudden health issues, only to relist less than a month later.
Peter Alan Bridgend were totally useless. After having to get a different branch to chase them about whether my offer had been accepted or not, they then allowed the seller to lower the asking price after accepting my offer, and two days before issuing my Memo of Sale. I found this out via the internet, not the estate agent. They are supporting a seller who appears to have zero intention of legitimately selling the property.

Having previously rented through other agents in the Swansea area, Peter Alan\'s admin fee\'s for rentals were far more affordable.

After having 2 house viewings confirmed, re-arranged work commitments to view the properties, only to have BOTH viewings cancelled at the last minute. Very poor attitude and would not give me a confirmed concrete alternative viewing date.

If this is their attitude with prospective clients, I have no wish to put up with them as landlord agents.

They repeatedly use the landlord as the reason for not being able to complete work which they are legally required to undertake to the point that local council services have had to issue the landlord with warnings.

I have had numerous issues with Peter Alan from the date of moving in over a year ago, these issues have been constantly ongoing and whenever you report a maintenance issue there is a song and dance over it being done, after weeks or even months of constantly phoning and arguing with them they may finally get the work done. They repeatedly use the landlord as the reason for not being able to complete work which they are legally required to undertake to the point that local council services have had to issue the landlord with warnings.
Recently I have been informed that the landlord now refuses to varry out any maintenance work as he has spent to much on the property and instead of supporting the tennent Peter Aland have deemed this an appropriate excuse to breach the legally binding contract that we are in and support the Landlord from avoiding his legal responsibilities.
This company is nothing more than a scam who once they have your money coming in have no interest in supporting or fulfilling their leagl obligations to you, I would avoid Peter Alan and the land lord like the plague in future a company not worth the hassle of doing business with very unprofessional and can't wait to be able to move to a more professional company in the very near future.

What a let down said about Peter Alan

They pulled the rug from under me and I'm absolutely gutted, will not be dealing with Peter Alan again.
