This has to be the worst letting agency in the area, do not trust them or use them. They are unreliable and do not return emails or calls. We rented our annex through them, when it came to getting deposits back etc they delayed returning any money due back as long as possible and lied on several... Read Full Review

This has to be the worst letting agency in the area, do not trust them or use them. They are unreliable and do not return emails or calls. We rented our annex through them, when it came to getting deposits back etc they delayed returning any money due back as long as possible and lied on several occasions.The is is a very unprofessional set up.

As a former Landlord I would like to warn all prospective Landlords DO NOT USE THESE AGENTS. I have been lied to on several occasions ,all my requests and e mails and phone calls ignored. As a former Landlord I would like to warn all prospective Landlords DO NOT USE THESE AGENTS. I have been lied to on several occasions ,all my requests and e mails and phone calls ignored. Mulberrys are so very lazy it is easier for them to charge me the Landlord for damages rather than investigate events properly with the tenants. Property inspections were not completed and my property was left damaged . Beware - they overcharge for work- check all invoices carefully . The owner of the company does the work himself and then raises invoices from a property management company which is actually himself.

They are the pirates of student letting for RHUL. It took them more than 2 months to send my deposit back, and only after a number of emails. They are the pirates of student letting for RHUL. It took them more than 2 months to send my deposit back, and only after a number of emails. Every time I went to their branch I was treated as a beggar, not as a customer paying for a service. The landlord too seemed really disappointed by their management of its property. Never received the 24 hours notice for house viewings. But what gives the best example of the ridiculous incompetence of these people is the fact that they asked me if I knew who was in the other rooms of the house I rented. How could you possibly not take note of who's occupying which room?

What agent could do to change your mind?
To have refunded us our money especially after I called less than 24hours after the transaction took place. No signed contract or form of identification was given by me. Mulberrys had not actually done any paper work, so took our kept our money, yet no service was given. My phone bill will be expensive this month, because I spent most of the time on Hold wanting for Rita Clarke, only to tell me that she would not refund me. In case anyone else deals with her, she cannot articulate clearly or even put together on conclusive argument. This company is shameful.

This is quite possibly the worst service I have ever received. I hope that other people are wise when choosing estate agents because we have lost £500 admin due to their scamming and unproffesional nature, we changed our mind less that 24hrs after paying over the phone on Friday the 8th of June 2012, I rung the next morning to cancel the transaction they refused. I dealt with the estate agent manager Rita Clark who is the ruddest woman I have ever sopken to, not only did she refuse the refund us, after her company did no work, and neither me nor my partner signed paper work, she dropped the phone on me and didn't ring back after I left dozen messages with her staff. Customer service is clearly not a necessisty for Mulberrys. I am disgusted with the service and I am sadded that many more will become victims of this poor service. Overall this dispicable service to which I have ensured the University of Royal Holloway have been contacted, Mulberrys will now be on their blacklist. Vile members of staff, clearly uneducated and lack substantial grasp of the common law of this country.

Terrible - I would advise any student at Royal Holloway to look elsewhere. Mulberrys took 3 months to return my deposit, dispite all parties being in agreement, they would not fix an ant infestation in my room, they refused to sort out an ant infestation and we were mislead into what contract clauses meant. The manager was rude more than one occasion, she shouted at me on more than one occasion. Just to top it all off the boiler broke, and it took them a total of 12 days to get an engineer to look at it. It broke at a weekend, I called the emergency number and the lady on the other end of the phone told me that a broken boiler, no heating or hot water in the middle of winter wasnt an emergency, they even went to the ordasity of suggesting that i went home till it was fixed. Overall these people are the cowboys of letting agents. Id suggest people go to another agent.

However for those who dont, STAY AWAY! they have an AWFUL reputation on campus, and have been blacklisted. 90% of the student letting horror stories are about Mulberrys. They ignore your contract, and have broken the law on many occasions. One of the tenants living in our house has infact still not signed the contract. They are willing to leave students living in dangerous conditions, with unchecked gas meters etc.
