It should have been stated what the money was for and that it is not compulsory for the sale of the property at the very beginning of the consultation and before any paper work was signed. Also it would be helpful if all their sellers had the feeling that they where working for them and not for the potential buyers who would take up their mortgage offers. I am a cash only buyer so was never interested in a mortgage but never felt that they where there for me.

Jones and Chapman prenton changed me upfront for nothing, tied me in for a number of months and off the back of that promised the world and I had no viewings, no contact from them. They valued my property at a higher value than other estate agents so I went with them, paying £200 up front. After a few months of no viewings they said I needed to drop my price. I may as well have gone with a different estate agent and not paid the £200 which tied me into staying with them.... Read Full Review
Worked harder to sell my property and gave me a realistic price to begin with.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
