Worst agents to deal, from the start it was a nightmare dealing with them. We paid 6 months upfront after them promising us that we could move in immediately, which we did so and then they refused to give us the keys knowing that we were desperate to move in, after 2 days of fighting we forced them to let us move in. Now we have moved out and 2 months later they are still refusing to assist us in refunding our deposit. Want us to take it up with TDS knowing that will delay it even further. I hope to never deal with them again!!!

if these were the last estate agents on the planet I would not buy or sell a property through them. I am astounded they manage to stay afloat. I was looking to buy so couldn't comment and didn't get very far due to agents lack of interest in her job.
if these were the last estate agents on the planet I would not buy or sell a property through them. I am astounded they manage to stay afloat. Rude, lack of knowledge and no inclination to seek information from vendor. I missed out on buying a property because of this estate agents lack of help or willingness to seek information for me. They also told me the wrong house number and didn't know which garage belonged to the property.

Hannah manages the property I am currently and there have been numerous issues with the property. Every issue I have had, Hannah has done her best to ensure that the issue is resolved promptly and has addressed them all. It hasn't been an easy job for Hannah, as the landlord isn't always willing to help but Hannah has ensured that some resolution to the issue is made and that I am satisfied with the outcome. I am grateful for Hannah's perseverance. I would recommend Hannah as an agent to anyone and I am thankful to have been assigned someone as dedicated as her.

We have just had a nightmare with this office.If you are using them to buy or sell do yourself a favour and go somewhere else!We were warned and didn't listen and have paid a very high price.We have never had dealings with people so incompetent and they have cost us £1000's.Never enter into the buyer incentive scheme-we were unable to get out of it Be careful if you are buying from them because they may advise your seller to pull out of a sale to increase the price when the sale is going through!This was their advice to us, Avoid them.

What agent could do to change your mind?
It should have been stated what the money was for and that it is not compulsory for the sale of the property at the very beginning of the consultation and before any paper work was signed.
Also it would be helpful if all their sellers had the feeling that they where working for them and not for the potential buyers who would take up their mortgage offers. I am a cash only buyer so was never interested in a mortgage but never felt that they where there for me.

At Christmas I found out that the £200 pounds plus vat that I had paid up front 18 months ago for the sale of my property was for the payment for the Conveyance of my property. I was not told of this fee until the papers had been signed. I had thought at the time that a new fee had been introduced to sell the property as I had not bought and sold for a number of years because of the slow market, I later looked through the paperwork but could not find no reference to what the money was for. At Christmas I was very angry, I was considering changing agents and looking into how to get my money back, as I used to work in finance I should have known better, but I trusted them. The reason I went with them was because I had bought the house through them so they could judge the work I had done on the property. I have my own solicitors which I have used for many years and are more than happy with them so had no intention of changing. I have bought and sold many times to Improve property as I enjoy this line of work. I have now removed the house from the market as where I am is just not selling anymore because of things outside my control, but i still have to pay the EPC. If I have got caught out by this what hope is there for anyone else. My friend has just moved using Jones & Chapman Solicitors and it was a nightmare. Most solicitors do not ask for a fee up front let alone when an offer has been made for Conveyance work. Something should be done about this, it is just unfair, I am a pensioner so do not have extra money to spare and need every penny if I am to compete in the now improving market. It is just like the PPI.

DO NOT USE OR TRUST. Jones and Chapman prenton changed me upfront for nothing, tied me in for a number of months and off the back of that promised the world and I had no viewings, no contact from them. I was left chasing them and in the end they just asked me to reduce they over priced my house compared to any other agent and I guess this should have been the warning bells. I've learnt my lesson and now going with another local independent agent. Paying half of what jones and chapman charged me. Stay clear!!

I may as well have gone with a different estate agent and not paid the £200 which tied me into staying with them. Once the property was sold way below the original asking price they then said I had to pay the buyer 1k which I had never agreed to doing! When I refused they said the buyer could pull out of the sale! Then the buyer decided to go through Jones & Chapman for his financial advice, solicitors and survey. They ended up being more interested in what he wanted than what we wanted. Suddenly he was their client and we were important anymore. Would never use them again!
