Unprofessional.

Jake Tribolet from James Pendleton helped me to find a rental in Clapham. After the few viewings, I put an offer in on Kyrle Rd SW11. Pendletons also refused to issue a vat receipt unless I paid 50.00 plus VAT.

In spite of further threats and using heavy handed debt collectors I refused to pay a penny more than 1.25 %. I was very impressed with the number of properties that were sent across for me to view, mainly in the quality of the properties and the accuracy compared to my search requirements. I registered with 7 estate agents, and JP were clearly the best.
Also, the people I met were very sound, not pushy and well informed. Alex from the Balham Hill office was very good when he showed us around some of the properties in Clapham South - I appreciated his no-nonsense approach.

Our purchase took a considerable amount of time with a number of barriers to overcome. Throughout the process, Pendleton's and our main contact remained calm, informative, helpful and were extremely easy to deal with. Sarah Welby was my first and main contact point with JP. I chose James Pendleton out of 5 agents I consulted for valuation for her promptness, enthusiasm and the market insight she demonstrated in our first exchanges. She had a clear and well documented view of where the market was heading, which the incremental offers I received for the property proved accurate.
Always willing to support, she also took responsibility and contacted me personally when the negotiations with buyers soured. She promptly took action, resulting in 15 viewings and 4 offers within 24 hours when the property went back on the market. It went onto a sealed bid and a successful sale.
The team, and particularly Tom Harvey, also supported me throughout, chasing up and providing feedback along the way.
All in all, despite the complications of the sale itself, James Pendleton's team made the process smooth and friendly. I am most grateful for their efforts and can recommend their services as best in class.

I was suposed to write to the Director of James Pendleton months ago regarding Steve Cook, but due to starting a new job it slipped my mind. So I was delighted to receive this link today to air my thoughts,
In May / June of this year I came to London in search of a property to rent as I was relocating from Leiceseter. I went in to several estate agents to enquire and I decided to only consider James Pendleton for the job, due to my firstimpression of Steve, - He was very pleasent and understanding of my position, he gave me some brochures and suggested possible areas to look at based on what I had told him about my critera (JP Competitors turned me away and then bombarded me will calls and emails when it was the correct time to view - I was about 5 weeks too early on my initial estate agent search). Once Steve had confirmed it was a good time to look based on wanting to be in a property in July we booked an afrernoon out and he had made a list of appointments and also made further ones from what i had seen. I felt that Steve went far and beyond what I expected from an Estate agent! He showed me the local areas of each property (Pubs, restaurants, tube lines etc) - this may sound very normal but as I had never lived in London before and was completely unfamilar with all the areas it meant alot to me! He certainly made this stressful experience much less so, and I am very grateful for that!

Absolutely furious with the dismissive attitude and general rudeness received from one of James Pendleton's sales negotiators.
We previously made an appointment to view a property near Clapham South. My partner was called the day before to reschedule to 11am which she agreed to do despite it not being as convenient for us.
When we arrived at the property at 11.05, the sales negotiator was with another prospective buyer and said that she had to leave with them to go to another viewing (obviously more important than us!!!). Completely incredulous. I have never ever seen such poor attitude and customer service.
It was not only rude of her to just completely dismiss us and prioritise another client but completely unprofessional not to contact us prior to the booking to let us know that being 5 minutes late would be an issue.
So unprofessional. Steer clear of them.

If you have a complaint that can't be resolved verbally with the Consultant or Manager of the branch that you are dealing with then you can write to our Sales Director Ewen, ewen@jphomes.co.uk or our Lettings Area Manager Sarah, sarahlegge@jphomes.co.uk.
Your complaint will be acknowledged within three working days of receipt and an investigation undertaken.
If you remain dissatisfied with the results of this investigation then you should write to our Directors who will continue the investigation and a written statement will be sent to you expressing James Pendleton Estate Agents final view. This final letter will also confirm that, if you are still dissatisfied, you are entitled to refer the matter to the Property Ombudsman for a formal review.
