Dowen estate agents will place your house on the Internet and then forget about you and your property. They have no contact with you throughout and leave it to you to ring them and then make up names of people who they have sent details to. We have a rental property which is let via Dowen. We are quiet happy about the tenant that they arranged for the property, however, now and again she pays the monthly rent a day or two late, which in itself is not a problem. Considering the amount of money we pay them to \'manage\' the property i would have expected at least a call to let us know that our rental income is late, and also the rental money to be forwarded to us at the earliest opportunity rather then them just sitting on it for a week or 2.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
