Dowen estate agents will place your house on the Internet and then forget about you and your property. They have no contact with you throughout and leave it to you to ring them and then make up names of people who they have sent details to. Dowen estate agents will place your house on the Internet and then forget about you and your property. They have no contact with you throughout and leave it to you to ring them and then make up names of people who they have sent details to. My partners mam and her partner were living in my property and looking for their own place and enquired about a property in the same area. When I called Dowen they said he had been looking to buy the property he was already living in! When I asked of course he wasn't and that property was never mentioned. After 6 months of lies and no viewings I decided to use another agent although you might as well use an online agent or do it yourself as they don't even do viewings for you! Waste of time and money, please avoid.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Considering the amount of money we pay them to \'manage\' the property i would have expected at least a call to let us know that our rental income is late, and also the rental money to be forwarded to us at the earliest opportunity rather then them just sitting on it for a week or 2.

I am not sure why a simple phone call cannot be made, nor am i sure why the agent can only do 2 Bacs runs a month, whereby we may have to wait 10 -14 days for our rental income from the property. The agent is paid a good monthly fee for this service, and if it wasn't for the hefty exit charge on the Tenancy agreement, i would move the property to another agent, which is what i will do when our tenant leaves the property.
