My flatmate and I went to see a total of 3 properties and the agent tried to pressure us into every single one. The most irritating part is that out of all of the properties shown to us, only 1 was within our budget. The ones picked out by the agent were £100 over budget, and then they tried to pressure us into putting in another £100 to ‘secure’ the flat (both properties are still up so they can’t be that popular).
We were constantly being called, even when we specified that we were busy and wouldn’t be available. To then be met with little comments about how difficult we were. The last property we saw, we were told that we really needed to put something down as we had been shown ‘so many’ by now (again all the properties were not in our budget, despite this being known).
We also weren’t told the price of the properties until we arrived, so travelling 1 hour to be shown a place we would never say yes to seemed absurd. We also had no photos, so we literally were going in blind to these places. The properties were usually tiny and grotty.
Not pleasant to work with and it just seemed like they are trying to dump all their stagnant properties onto us, hoping we’d give in with the pressuring.

Extremely suffocating, old-fashioned sales techniques. Pressuring clients NEVER works. We simply wanted to view the flat but they pressured us into filling up a form in order to register our interest so that "nobody else will get the flat because we are first". In this form you have to give your CREDIT CARD DETAILS which is outrageous and shady and we gave a fake one. After leaving the office the agent rang us a total of 4 times to ask questions about ourselves. The next morning we emailed the agent thanking them for their time but telling them we had decided not to take the flat. They then proceeded to ring us several times (we had specified we were at work in the morning and could not pick up the phone). Then, the agent emailed us with a long email going on about how they were really put off at the fact that we said no in spite of them making their best efforts, as if this was something personal, and questioning us about our decision, being invasive when we simply didn't really like the flat. I felt guiltied into having to apologise and reassure the agent that our decision had nothing to do with them on a personal level. We don´t want to go back here and it's a shame because we want a flat in Fulham.
