Absolute scum of the earth. This agency will take your money then do absolutely nothing to help you. Refuse to carry out repairs, blame you for issues that stem from poor building, try to bully you into giving up your tenancy early without any rent return and try to steal your deposit. Absolute scum of the earth. This agency will take your money then do absolutely nothing to help you. Refuse to carry out repairs, blame you for issues that stem from poor building, try to bully you into giving up your tenancy early without any rent return and try to steal your deposit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I've never met an estate agency that have no clue on laws around housing and rental properties. LIARS LIARS LIARS. You are by far better off housing your family in a cardboard box than renting through these people. They have no idea how to use a phone, no idea how to use email and then will make false claims about you to try and make themselves look good. It's no wonder they have went from 4 offices to 1 office at a time when the rental market is utterly booming. SAVE YOURSELF from a year of stress and anxiety by using an agency without 1* reviews all over the internet

Would not recommend Carters to my worst enemy, the service was shocking from start to finish. We lived in a mouldy home which they was made aware of when we moved in. Would not recommend Carters to my worst enemy, the service was shocking from start to finish. We lived in a mouldy home which they was made aware of when we moved in. Took 3 attempts to have the issue resolved but never was properly considered, until the council was involved. There seems to be a lack of professionalism from certain individuals. The only positive thing I can say is that we were allowed to exit early from the agreement.

I went to pick up my keys given to arrange viewings. I waited for over ten minutes as he could not find them. He told me he would find them and drop them off where I live. That as far as he was concerned that was the end of the matter unless I proved that I dropped keys off over 3.5 months ago!!
That if the keys are not there then they are not there!! I had nothing to worry about as no address is with the keys therefore nothing will happen.
So my home is now unsafe and insecure and this joker does not care. He also took great delight in telling me that he was one of the Directors - really, such an arrogant,condescending, lying, unprofessional, two faced jerk.
Everyone out there I would advise do not go anywhere near such people and advise others of the ssame as I will certainly - as I informed him, he replied go ahead - so I am!!
Incidentally, I have unfortunately now come across comments from other people NOT to usethis Agency!!!!!!!!!

Bought our house through this agent in 2008. We had viewed quite a few properties but not really found anything that was quite right for us within our budget and the chap we dealt with at Carters was intuitive enough to guide us toward a property we probably never would have viewed under our own steam. He told us to keep an open mind (which immediately puts you on edge!) and just come and see it. It turned out to be perfect! It was a very tatty, quite run down version of our dream home but it ticked all the boxes of big garden, quiet street, not overlooked, parking space with room inside the house for workspace and a family. We could only afford it because it was a bit of a state but once we saw past all the repairs from years of dodgy DIY and all the decorating that was required we fell in love and bought it. It all went through very smoothly, we were fortunate enough to not be in a chain and we were grateful for the advice from our agent as we were almost asking for the impossible but we love our home and its actually been quite good fun sorting it all out and watching our ideas come to life. The only thing I would say is we underestimated the cost of house repairs, especially specialist things like kitchens, so would think twice in the future about another house that has been so unloved but we got such a good price and are in no rush so its all worked out well for us and felt we were guided correctly by the agent.
