Adam showed me round the property I have agreed to buy and was very friendly and a great conversationalist and he was able to relate well on a wide range of interests. This really put me at ease and created a relaxed atmosphere which enabled me to ask the many questions I had.

If you want a local helpful service, avoid. as soon as the property is let, you get diverted to the central office in Burton and have no idea who you need to deal with. The statements are completely confusing and unhelpful.
you find out about issues by email/reports, rather than a helpful call that I receive from other agencies.
Reported issues observed within inspection are addressed with a letter to the tenant with no follow up until the next 6 month inspection.
Pity there isn't as much urgency addressing tenant issues as there is when I tenant reports a problem- then you can expect calls daily from them!
In comparison with other agents, Burchell Edwards charge for a premium service but fall woefully short.

AVOID! Disgustingly treated! Left me and my two kids with a week to get a new property or we are on the streets paid rent every month without fail and looked after the house. AVOID! Disgustingly treated! Left me and my two kids with a week to get a new property or we are on the streets paid rent every month without fail and looked after the house. They have no compassion what so ever as long as they get their money out of you that's all they care about. Left without electric heating and hot water for 2 weeks. These people are the worst people I have ever encountered in all my life, making me ill with all this stress they have put me through. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! Please everyone avoid at all costs

We were finding it diffucult to rent out the property and on our frequent visits we found advertising from Burchell Edwards so we thought we'd try them. Their response was prompt and efficient; they clearly stated their fees up front and explained their services. within a few days we had sevberal prospective viewings and a suitable tenant was in place. all in all an impressive performance. My only negative comment is that even once we had engaged them they still kept sending us advertising literature, which became a little bit irritating after a while.

I do feel the admin fees are extremely high I do know a few agents which charge these types of fees and others that are considerably lower.

Since taking out a buy to let mortgage out on this property in Oct 2014, Callum & Adam have found us 2 sets of tenants (as letting agents), and we have used Burchell Edwards for the property managment, Callum & Adam have been in the forefront of dealings with both tenants and ourselves and nothing as been to much trouble for them to sort out, including chasing tenants up for lost keys. They have really gave us an A1 service and would recommend the whole team to sort out all your property needs when it comes to buying or selling right through to property managment

I have rented out a property in Belper now for over 10 years. Burchell Edwards (Belper Branch) have supported the marketing of my property for about 5 years and found me my last 3 tenants. What agent could do to change your mind?
I recognise that good jobs need to be paid for. I believe that set up fees are fair but once you are a client of the head office you get a number of repeat charges for every client as well as paying commission every month. The one that irritates me is the charge levied for continuing a tenancy agreement as this is effectively an e mail to all parties which is identical to the set up agreement. Head office is a little greedy but Belper office worth every penny.

I have rented out a property in Belper now for over 10 years. Burchell Edwards (Belper Branch) have supported the marketing of my property for about 5 years and found me my last 3 tenants. They have been so efficient once a tenant has given notice so the gap between one tenant leaving and another arriving has been kept small. Callum in the last few weeks has done a great job in finding someone in a matter of days and ensuring that everything moved rapidly. Nothing was too much trouble and he helped to ensure that his property management group at head office were galvanised into action to prepare the property for the next tenant. I would not hesitate in rcommending Callum and BE Belper branch - the head office functions are not as efficient ( though generally acceptable).

For all the work thats involved regarding renting a property that burchell Edward has to do , I think that the fees are very reasonable as it requires a lot of phonecalls , emails and communication between the landlord ,the office and the potential tennent.

Paul was very friendly, helpful and made moving house extremely easy and simple.

Sometimes felt that agent was more interested in what benefited him rather than us, the customer.
Didn't always get back to us when they said they would, which meant we had to spend time chasing them up.
