To think moving is stressful in itself, they made the process even worse
Poor Communication, no genuine interest in their client what so ever. They are only concerned about themselves only.
The are the highlight of my year's mistake.

Worst estate agency I've ever used by FAR! You couldn't pay me to rent through them, will never use these guys to rent through again! Charges absolutely extortionate and they charge for EVERYTHING they do. Just got done renting a property through them for 6 months, after numerous mid term calls attempting to arrange viewings!? When I'd only been there for 2 months because they hadn't bothered to check their sytems, they then harrassed me saying I hadn't paid my rent when I had!!! Absolute joke! Then I get an email along the lines of 'great news your landlord has agreed to offer you the property at the same fixed cost for a further term, all you have to do to claim this is pay about £200 in ADDITIONAL admin fees to stay'!!!! I've rented for years and have never ever heard of anything quite like this. Then to top it all off my new estate agent called me last week when they were trying to collect a reference re: me renting through them. THEY ASKED FOR £25 TO GIVE A REFERENCE!!!! Absolutely horrendous, I'd seriously rather be homeless than rent through these ever again.

I have now let two properties from Bridgfords and after assurances that their abysmal administration would be improved during my second letting I was shocked and bewildered to find that their customer service could reach even greater heights of incompetence. Moving house is frustrating enough without having to have multiple inquisitions in order to have a deposit returned over matters any sensible person would call trifling, and to add insult to injury their attitude was awful throughout. Avoid like the plague. In fact, you would probably actually prefer the plague as it reaches its naturally conclusion quite promptly; unfortunately Bridgfords are unable and unwilling to work with such haste.

They are useless at getting anything done. They lied to me about all their fees and when it came to paying they changed it all. They expect rent on time but fail to do any repairs on time. The worst agents in Manchester. Never show up on time or ever. They have forgotten that they are service providers. They waste prospective tenants time as well as landlords' time. Absolutely disgusting agency!!! When we moved into the property we were renting, we had some plumbing issues.Agency called a plumber,and it was fixed.However,we received a bill later on,which ment we had to pay for the service when why should we? Agency should be handling all the bills,and we don't have to pay from our pocket!!! Now we have moved out (thank god) and been waiting for the deposit 3 weeks now, when it should only be 10 days! When asking when will we receive it - no one is responding to our emails, and not even picking up the phone!!! 3 weeks later we have gotten a response, which made us even more angry with this stupid agency - instead of getting back the full ammount of the deposit, which the landlord agreed we will be getting, we are now told we will receive £0.00 because we ''had outstanding rent'' which we actually paid, so there was nothing outstanding. So apparently they are taking £200 for the rent, (and of course not returning the £200 that were paid) and £250 in re-letting fees. That makes £450, right? So where did the £150 go? So basically, they have ripped us off by £800 and not even planning to give a penny back!! It is disgusting how they treat their customers, and disgusting, how they are ripping people off !!! I would not recommend Bridgfords to anyone!! They don't care about anything! All they care about is money and how to ask some ridiculous fees for everything you do!!!

I have never known a place which such bad customer service and that con you as much.
We rented a flat for a year we complained various times about the damp and that the bathroom had no extractor fan they never once did anything!!
A year down the line we come to move out apart from the damp the flat was immaculate even out of the good out of our hearts got the carpets cleaned even though they didnt need it we just thought it would be nice to refresh them.
They sent us a letter to have the hand over of keys and it was a bank holiday so I checked with the office and they said no thats correct so when I was there waiting no one was there and the next day said got wrong sorry.
They then picked the keys up from my work as I didnt have time to go down to pass them on but I protested at first as I wanted to be there so they coudlnt say that things were wrong with flat that werent true but they insisted they had them and report goes ahead either way.
A week later the guy rang us said everything is looking fine for your deposit back soon and if there is any problems I will let you know and I had given him the receipt for the carpets.
Then the week after still no answer and no deposit to be told by another member of staff he had gone on holiday for 3 weeks. She said he had complained about carpets and walls and said carpets were dirty and no receipt for carpets.
I resent another receipt which they requested. Still never heard anything.
Another week on my bf rang and they have deducted 300 pound for dirty carpets and decoration.
The customer service is a joke and they just con you even when you keep the houses immaculate!!!!

Outrageous fees to move in. Forcing the rent up after our year contract ended, when I refused to pay the extra due to unresolved problems they hiked it up further. Hidden expenses for paperwork that should be included from the application fee, including the audacity to charge us if we were not available for a visitation, but themselves not showing up and the appointment had to be rearranged (losing two days of work ourselves as they couldn't give a rough time)

The property has been a danger to our health and safety since day one, and none of the problems have been fixed, including the ones we asked to be sorted before we moved in. Now that we are moving out they have impeded our application with another agent, we have paid for a reference which has not been sent out for over a week and when I called they told me that don't understand the problem as it should have been sent the next day, also did not send proof of payment that we specifically asked for due to previous incompetence. However they have processed our end of tenancy agreement... potentially going to make us homeless.

Just now learned that they will charge you the months rent up front plus 1.5 times he monthly rent as a deposit plus 240 application fee plus another 120 on the day you move in for more fees
An absolute joke of a company. They should not be allowed to charge decent people extortionate costs just to move into a property.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Where do i start..... Took them weeks to change over my bank details for rent payment, still send out invoices and statements to my old address even after numerous emails, phone calls to the office who always tell me that the computer systems are down and so cant look at my details or change them. Three emails sent 2 weeks ago with my new contact details on and suprise suprise they are still calling my ex. Useless!! Never go with this company.....
