No help from them whatsoever and we have to keep calling them, all we get is "there is nothing we can do" and "I have called text and emailed her" - wow.
Avoid this amateur bunch.

Would have give 0 stars. Absolutely unprofessional service from these. My girlfriend went to view a property with a guy called Tom Wolski. He told my girlfriend we would have to go through the application process, there was a couple viewing after us. My girlfriend emailed him after the viewing to say we would like to start the application process. Upon his return he emailed back and said that the couple after us had phone up and put a deposit down on the property while he was travelling back and that they would “have to go with them” so it was one rule for us and another for them. Absolute money pinchers. Would not recommend!

As a landlord you need an agent you can rely on, who will talk to you truthfully and respond to your queries in an informed and timely manner. You won't get any of these from Archer Bassett. They will spend plenty of time telling you how good they are, how much experience they have and... Read Full Review

As a landlord you need an agent you can rely on, who will talk to you truthfully and respond to your queries in an informed and timely manner. You won't get any of these from Archer Bassett. They will spend plenty of time telling you how good they are, how much experience they have and misinforming you when it is to their advantage, but when it comes to action or acting in the interest of the landlord, you then you'll realise your mistake.

Ryan met me at my Coventry property to discuss finding a tenant. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and yet open to new ideas, and found me fabulous tenants. His understanding of landlords' concerns is excellent, his grasp of housing law is comprehensive and he found me a tenant within a couple of days. I would highly recommend him and Archer Bassett. They may not be the cheapest but the service i got was 5Star. Thanks Ryan and thanks also to all the team - especially Kirsten who put up with me changing my mind more than once !!!! i will definitely use them again.

Ok (ish) we moved in and my first question was when were the cleaners coming in as it was a pretty dirty place. Throughout the tenancy we rarely heard from them, except when the mandatory inspections were due. Very slow in getting back to us when work was required to be done, we had loose and faulty taps for the 12 months we were there, a dripping overflow for 6 months which annoyed both us and the neighbour, the staff in the office were friendly enough, right up until we moved out. I'm giving it a low score due to the fact that we were waiting for some important post to arrive and we've never received it, despite the new tennants sayingt hat the agent took a load of post away the day they moved in and the agent knew we were waiting for the post.

What agent could do to change your mind?
A little respect goes a long way. Get trained as well as you boast about how well you are. Manners are free, use them! Speak the truth and you will be used more rather than be ran a mile away from.

I am absolutely relieved that I did not get the property I was perspectiely looking at. Archer bassett look down on others status if you are not workin full time. Absolutely disgusted with their behaviour and the way I was treated. Continuously lied about all 3 appointments claiming the tenant was never available. Never called me when they cancelled appointments and then called because miraculously the property was let. If this is how incompetent and poorly trained they are then its nothing but a blessing that the property has been "let". I hate to wonder how much hassle and trouble they give to tenants. Appauled and disgusted!!!

On the second viewing i took my mum and we measured up for a settee we had already purchased. And beds.
The day we moved in the landlords beds sofa& dining table wss still in the property.
Archer bassetts attitude was it was my fault as i never filled out a form
saying what i did and didnt want. They were fully aware that this was the first time we had rented yet insisted they were in no way responsible?? Yet they watched me measure up and my mum as a witness heard me say about the beds n sofa not being required.
They advertised this unfurnished/furnished with landlord flexibility.
Im now storing a settee and have had to give away my beds which were brand new all at my cost.
My landlord is brilliant on the other hand
They are incompetant and tell u what u want to hear to get their money and u on the books to look good.

I will never rent through this company again.

I later found out that Archer Basset had actually taken teh deposit of the tennants and then when two failed the credit check, Archer bassett too almost 100 pounds out of teh 250 pounds deposit.
The third girl came around in a hysterical state asking me if i could speak to Archer bassett as she lost her job and could not continue with teh tennancy after all. But Archer bassett kept her 250 deposit and refused top giver it back. I have now learnt from my inquiries that Archer bassett do this all the time and constantly rip off tennanta whom in many cases can ill afford to lose such money. I can honstly see a situation arrise where an irate customer of theirs will go in with a knife and stab members of there staff out of desperation to get there money back. I will never use this company again and reccommed tennnats / peoople whom have been ripped off by this company immediately go to the Police and make a formal complaint and also in form Coventry trading standards. I can say they are lucky they did not rip me off ... Someone at ASrcher Bassetys are going to get it if they keep ripping of poor people .. i anticipate it

So she paid them and left knowing we had reserved the property.
Monday she dropped off the application forms within the requested time frame and was told that we would hear the decision within 48 hours. On Wednesday we chased them and they said they should know by the close of business, the we got told later we would know by the morning.
Thursday morning they called us to tell us the landlord has accepted the "other application" - when pressed they said that the landlord "had thought it a very difficult decision so decided to go with the application that had put the deposit down first" - when I pointed out that it was us that placed the first deposit and the it was the second applicant that had been given the let there was no answer, no apology, no offer to rectify the situation. Only that we could have our deposit back, but now that I have seen others comments I'll wait with baited breath to see if that happens.
Overall - sneaky people that are willing to do any dirty tricks to get their sale. Why do lettings agents seem to have very little in the way of morals?
