Tenant of the above letting agent for 18months. Heating system developed a problem in January 2013 which to this day has not been resolved. No competent engineers were sent presumable because it would cost more. This left us paying for heating we couldn't turn off meaning we had to turn the thermostat down every night and wake up freezing. The hot water valve also broke meaning all hot water in the tank was heated to about 80degrees which is not only a scalding risk but cost us a bomb! I feel for the new remnants that have moved in completely unaware of this. When we were coming to vacate the property, we had to pay a full months rent despite vacating on the 11th. We requested that if the new remnants could move in early, we would return the keys and recieve a tent rebate. This was ignored. We handed the keys back on the 25th despite paying until the 30th with the property in pristine condition. We returned to the property the next day as we had suspicions about new tennants moving in. The property was found to be occupied. We knocked on the door and spoke to the tennants who as it turns out we're also paying rent for that period. When Jillings estates we're questioned about this, we were blatantly lied to and told it was empty. This was reconsidered when we told them we had been to the property. It was agreed that we were to have rent rebate for when they were receiving monies from both sets of tennants. Some of this money was returned along with our deposit. However the ammount fell short of what was due. After many ignored emails, unreturned phone calls, and feeble excuses and dodging, we received the amount that was due. Please never rent of this company, it's not worth the hassle!
