Hi, Well I am currently letting a property from this estate agency. Countrywide now have some dealings with them. Once countrywide began taking over all the agreements we signed seemed to be completely ignored. They stated they could not conduct an inspection on the property as we werent there when the first inspection was conducted no problem additionally they came at a different date from when we agreed. There was meant to be four inspections on the property and only two were ever conducted. One being where they never checked the property. We reported faults with the property which took some time and pestering to sort. The initial check also stated faults which were already on the inventory which they handed over to us. Our tenancy agreement is coming to an end and additional to this we have received several letters stating different dates on when to vacate the property. The other letters not mentioning anything about ignoring previously mentioned dates. Overall I didnt mind portfolio when they were indeed portfolio. Once countrywide took over I severely disliked their conduct and how all the previously signed agreements were completely ignored. We were never given a new terms and conditions to sign as if we disagreed with any we would be eligible to vacate the property early. Which to be honest I would so I wouldnt need to deal with them again. I am severely hoping there will NOT be a problem with the deposit being refunded however TPS have already been contacted regarding this. Should anyone else have any problems with this company you should get in touch with this company where your deposit should have been held to gain it back.

Refund my deposit AND provide a proper WRITTEN account of any deductions please. Also they should be OUTLAWED FROM HOLDING TENANTS\' DEPOSITS. Portfolio Lettings should hand ALL tenant deposits to a reputable third party and independant organisation. They cannot be trusted with tenant\'s money.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
