The customer service of the staff at this branch is appalling. They are unfriendly on the phone and only want to talk for a minimal amount of time just to get the answers they need and then they can't wait to get you off the phone. As first time buyers all of the other estate agents we have spoken to have been very helpful and given us as much information possible and can't do enough for you. The staff in the Bairstow Eves Coleshill branch pass you between each other and don't appear to even talk to each other as I have had several calls asking for the same information. They are not helpful when it comes to the negotiation stage either. We had an offer rejected on the phone without them even consulting the seller of the property. We also had a second offer rejected, this time I asked them to get a counter offer from the seller to ensure they communicated with the seller. We have since submitted a third offer which again was rejected but this time when I asked for feedback from the seller I was not given any new information suggesting they have not asked for any feedback. The asking price for the house was reduced as the third offer was rejected and still Bairstow Eves were still not being helpful with giving feedback from the seller. Overall if I could avoid this estate agent I would.
The staff need to be much more friendlier and customer focused

10 Aug 2014I have also had contact with this agent, viewing properties with a friend. They have told us bare faced lies, and appear to be ill educated. A neighbour who works nearby says they spend more time outside smoking, than actually in the office. Some of the properties they list appear to be fake listings, as they do not supply photographs or details at all.

In my dealings with Bairstow Eves I found them to be keen to assist the sale, helping out with any queries and liaising between buyer and seller, as well as helping to conclude it. I was kept informed throughout the process. Many thanks to Sam and to David for their help and... Read Full Review

Terrible communication. Wanted us to reduce after 2 weeks on the market with them to a ridiculous price. Did not know their area. 2 viewers in 2 months - one hadn't sold, one not interested viewed in 3 minutes, probably just sent to keep us quiet! Very disappointed. Bad service for extortionate... Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
