This Management Agency, Capitol Homes Management Ltd, has been dissolved on 14 May 2013 and now the same business is run via a similar named company Capitol Homes Management (UK) Ltd, [NOTE THE INSERTION OF (UK) IN THE SAME NAME] incorporated on 22 June 2012 according to Companies House records. The former director of the dissolved company, Mr Parvez Iqbal Blouch, is now running the new company BUT NOT AGAIN as a director but most likely as an employee to manage the rentals and sign official documents on behalf of the former Landlords, Taraj Maddrasa Trust, who also currently underwent a name change to Taraj Education Trust. Mr Parvez Iqbal Blouch (he goes by the short name of Iqbal with the Tenants) is the official representative of the Landlords and responsible to inform the Landlords of the status for all properties owned by them. The director for the new company is Humaira Fatima Siddiqi (born 2/4/1992) according to Companies House records. I believe it is important for anyone searching for this company to be aware that the same individuals are behind the new company which is bearing the same name but with a slight addition in the same name. I am currently a tenant in one of their properties on Fentiman Road at Vauxhall where exposed broken asbestos was recently found. This finding was initially denied by Iqbal, however after further communication and being informed that the Council of Lambeth has now been called to get involved, they admitted 20% asbestos in the flat. The damp, mould, lack of ventilation and no proper drainage to the extended kitchen is also a concerning issue for this flat that was converted from a one small bedroom flat into a two bedroom flat leaving the flat without a proper living room. The company is charging a substantial amount of rent for a property that is unsafe to live in. For more information and photos please check the entry for the company on this website Capitol Homes Management (UK) Ltd. I read the reviews on this website and I agree that my experience with the same individuals now running a company just like the previous one is very much alike. The same individuals are still attempting to do the same things as before with the old company, such as no repairs when reasonably requested and attempt to keep the deposit by making malicious claims, which are now defended and addressed in a legal manner. It must be a matter for public concern when a Managing Agent is providing information less than candid to enter someone into a contract while having full knowledge that the property is not "fit for purpose". They are NOT meeting reasonable requests for repairs such as to divert rats/mice by providing proper waste water drainage system, prevent lung cancer of the tenant by making sure the property is well inspected for exposed broken asbestos prior to its rental and ensure that the mould, damp and ventilation is taken care of prior to the rental and not maintain that they are caused by someone's lifestyle. They are meeting any requests for repairs with threats of evictions if a tenant makes them aware of the health hazards and condition of the house. It was initially said by the company that the company is working on behalf of a Charity and the funds need to be available to the Charity rather than investing in a property to make the necessary repairs. If you were also informed that there is a Charity involved and you were told that not too many repairs can be done as the Charity does not have money, please post a review with your experience. Tenants who pay significant amount of money for properties not worth such amounts and have to unknowingly be exposed to health hazards in the property must speak up and post a review so that the matter is investigated and no one is to suffer the same damages. The Managing Agent company signing for the Landlords is also responsible, besides the Landlords, as they both have a duty of care to the tenants.

This review was recently brought to our attention. Moving to the substance of the review Sandra vacated the flat on 5th February with accrued rent arrears of £3730.71 which remains outstanding. The asbestos which she refers was confined to a panel in the back of a door leading to the cellar which was not an integral part of the flat. The only reasons access would be need to the cellar would be to read the gas meter. Lambeth Council have never stated that there was 20% asbestos in the flat. Sandra took the flat as seen and raised no issues until some six months in to the Tenancy.Despite the involvement of the the Environmental Health Officer at Lambeth Sandra refuses to give access to the flat to enable the thin sheet of asbestos fixed to the inside of the cellar door to be removed by a specialist firm. She prevented other remedial works to be carried out and this can be confirmed by the Lambeth Council. Now she has vacated the flat the specialist firm has removed the door and flat will be re let once the remedial have been completed.

Capitol Homes Management were in charge of renovating the property that we purchased. They were horrendous at meeting deadlines and to this date the renovation has not even begun after being promised it would be completed 7 months ago. I would not recommend renting or buying a property that they ... Read Full Review

I've been meaning to write this review for a while! Capitol Homes managed the property I rented for 2 years. They were un-organised and provided shoddy workmanship when anything went wrong. In fact I still cringe about the new boiler that was installed just before I moved out. I'm pretty sure ... Read Full Review
