I understand the negative criticism of Central Flats but there are also good points. Firstly, Max can come across as rude but really he's just eccentric and old fashioned. Quite a character. He doesn't like time wasters. Secondly, they don't just look on Gum tree. Max seemed to have good connections to landlords who we wouldn't have been able to get in touch with without his help. We were looking for somewhere cheap, quickly, for a short lease. I don't think we would have managed it without him. Thirdly, for those who complain about the fee they charge,, every letting agent charges fees which are often higher than these. You pay for his time and contacts. He always answered when I called and actively kept me up to date on what was available. Central flats won't suit everyone but they worked for me.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
