I'm not sure if the last two reviews were planted by Veritas themselves, but the service from Veritas was nothing like the false praise given to them. We moved into a flat after paying an excessive amount of fees for services I'm still not sure about, and rebutting an initial two year contract which Sunny said "would be easier for us and the next tenants". I'm not sure what planet he is on because signing a long contract would hardly have benefited us. We moved in on the agreement that, were we to find a third tenant, they could move into the flat and be placed on the contract. When we found a third tenant shortly after this, they refused to add the third tenant onto the contract or give an extra set of keys unless we signed on for a month extra.Sunny himself told us that the landlord demanded we pay more as an extra tenant was moving in. We spoke directly to the owner, who confirmed he had never said such a thing. When Sunny was confronted from this, rather than apologise, he became even more rude and unhelpful than before stating that if we did not sign the new contract with a fee increase, the third tenant could not move in. At the end of the tenancy, they also demanded additional fees out of deposit despite us leaving the property completely clean. I would strongly advise you not to deal with Veritas estates. They have very poor customer service and will not hesitate to fin more ways of making extra money out of you.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Follow professional guidelines from day 1. No hidden costs, no hidden information that they spring on you after you have signed the contract. Tranparency.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
