What agent could do to change your mind?
Follow professional guidelines from day 1. No hidden costs, no hidden information that they spring on you after you have signed the contract. Tranparency.

From day 1 I feel I have been lied to. Right from the onset I was told information about the property and its contents that I have later found to be untrue, I have been subject to over the top fees one being the rent in advance (to which I complained and was them told 'it was a mistake') and the correct fees applied and the holding fees do not contribute to anything more than pocket money for these vermin!
I was also given the wrong moving in date which had been issued to me TWICE and then the agent comes the realisation that the date is incorrect.
I since went into their offices and looked at the contract I was going to sign and pointed out every single fault with the contract (improper wording, unfair terms with the landlord) and the person just laughed it off and stated she can't change anything as they get the contracts from the lawyers, another lie. There was a lot of pressure selling and no effort to try and make the contract read properly.
On entering the property, a very thorough inventory was conducted and I stood right over the persons head making sure everything I had seen was noted. The place was furnished to an abysmal standard, there are chairs and furniture piled high in rooms. The furniture that is set out in some sort of order has burn marks, nasty stains, discolouration, broken springs you name it, How they can advertise the property as furnished I have no idea. I wouldn't let my worst enemy sit on their shoddy furniture.
On asking to have this horrible items removed, I was met by the sentence 'although this may have been agreed at the initial viewings, this is not in the agreement' what the hell!!?
I am also intrigued to find out what their definition of a deep clean by professionals is as I have gone around the skirting boards and cupboard doors with a white cloth and it's been black after only a few swipes.
I'm infuriated by these agents and will be taking my complaints further with them as they only appear to be money grabbing pests out for themselves and not giving a damn about their tenants.

Stop being complete unreasonable criminals. Abusing their position and interacting in an almost threatening manner.

This Company manages our building. The fees are extortionate and are not fair or reasonable in any way. They have done nothing but threaten undermine and exploit us as leaseholders since we have purchased our home. We now feel we don't even want to live in the flat as they continue to try to extract more and more money from us. They only attended to recent essential repairs when we involved the environmental health dept at Camden Council. They act in a very untoward way, and feel they can exploit leaseholders as they act for the freeholder, as technically have you over a barrel where fees are concerned. I would never purchase a property managed by them ever again, they have made our lives miserable.

Veritas Estate Agency SCAM: DEFRAUDERS managing Properties
My experience with Veritas Estate Agency, a company based in Hammersmith, London, has been terrible.
I moved to London with my wife and my son (4 months old) and I rent an apartment managed by them /by the way, their fees are huge and unjustified).
Since the first day we had mice in our apartment. The sent pest contractors that didn´t do anything but leaving some baits. This lasted for 4 months. We then discovered huge holes under the kitchen cupboard. They couldn´t repair it so we kept living with mice for other 5 months until we called a pest control company that solved the problem.
Another big problem was the inventory. Veritas literally invented that we had damaged and dirty the apartment so they retained more than 300 pounds from the deposit knowing that we had moved abroad and was difficult for us to claim it.
They are robbers and treat tenants like objects, lying to them all the time.

Should not lie about extra contract length Should not lie about correspondence with landlord Should not try to extract extra fees when initial agreements were made Better customer service and property management

I'm not sure if the last two reviews were planted by Veritas themselves, but the service from Veritas was nothing like the false praise given to them.
We moved into a flat after paying an excessive amount of fees for services I'm still not sure about, and rebutting an initial two year contract which Sunny said "would be easier for us and the next tenants". I'm not sure what planet he is on because signing a long contract would hardly have benefited us. We moved in on the agreement that, were we to find a third tenant, they could move into the flat and be placed on the contract.
When we found a third tenant shortly after this, they refused to add the third tenant onto the contract or give an extra set of keys unless we signed on for a month extra.Sunny himself told us that the landlord demanded we pay more as an extra tenant was moving in. We spoke directly to the owner, who confirmed he had never said such a thing. When Sunny was confronted from this, rather than apologise, he became even more rude and unhelpful than before stating that if we did not sign the new contract with a fee increase, the third tenant could not move in.
At the end of the tenancy, they also demanded additional fees out of deposit despite us leaving the property completely clean.
I would strongly advise you not to deal with Veritas estates. They have very poor customer service and will not hesitate to fin more ways of making extra money out of you.
