Hitchen & Co is the worst house agent in Leeds. We move into our apartment in bad condition. The house was dirty, dusty furnished with crap they found from junk yard. The mattress was so dirty and disgusting, if you sleep on it, you will have back pain all your life. if you throw on the street no homeless person will take it. For our own comfort, we bought ourselves our own bed. Most furniture are broken, bread toaster with missing part, etc. All these we can still put up. We took as many pictures as evident so when we move out we are not accountable to the terrible stuffs inside this apartment. We were lucky to do that because instinct told me you must! My husband thought it was ok not to take any pictures but I insists. I took pictures like the disgusting, dirty oven because I thought that's obvious. Dirty carpet stains, etc. Oily ventilator etc. I took pictures only if they are really disgusting, But I didn't take pictures like dusty hidden conners, or dirty Mirror. Or over turn toilet bowl etc. I thought it ok, just clean it and don't make a fuss about it Even thought the conditions of the apartment was hideous when we move in, We cleans everything very well especially oven, fridge, inside the kitchen cabinet etc. they were spotless like new. I left the cleaning of the bathroom and toilet to my husband who misses few hidden conners. He missed some dusts. I can't believe they have the cheek to charged 4 hours cleaning to us. The cleaning will not take more than 30min. They're just little dust and 2 hairs in the bath tubs. They are not obvious unless you look very hard to find something just to complaint. This is not about the money, it's about principle of fairness. When we move in, we clean everything and not charged the house agents for it. Why I said Hitchen & Co is terrible agent because when you've problem in your apartment. You can't call them. You must emails them and wait until they respond. Our washing machine take one month to fix when they break down. In meanwhile we've to send all our stuffs to laundry. Dishwasher don't work. We don't even bother to ask them to fix, just don't use them. We experience everything we put in our fridge when rotten after just one or two days. We live with it for over a year until we thought enough is enough. When we complaint. they take more than 3 weeks to get our fridge replace after chasing and chasing and chasing. Hitchen & Co only care for landlords, they don't give shit about tenants. Once you sign with them, you on your own. They chase us out ( we live here for 2 years) because they told us landlord want to sell this apartment. But then we realise they're bringing new people but these are for renting too. these are Young students, sharers. I guess so they can bully these guys. The reason why they are not renewing ours apartment because we are not allowing people to view the apartment whenever they want. Imagine living in apartment that open for viewing 7 days weekly because the landlord want to sell this apartment. Then why bring another new rental tenant? We allows people to view when it's convenience for us. But we are always busy and not at home very much We've many valuable stuffs in the house. We can't let people wonder into our house when we are not around. We've rent apartment from Morgan and LS1 now change to different name. They are good estate agents, they are fairs to both landlord and tenants. You never get crap furniture or broken appliances when you rents something from these two agents. They advise landlord properly and take care of welfare of the tenants too. Be afraid, be very afraid to rent anything form Hitchen & Co

Agent took 3 weeks to take a meter reading upon leaving the property. Service was generally appalling across the entire tenancy, regularly misled about repairs and visits to the building.
