I completely agree with the comments already posted on here, Linda Spelman is rude & behaves with a complete lack of professionalism. Firstly, when dealing with us to begin with she was so slow with processing paperwork & chasing up the landlord - leaving us not knowing whether our application had been successful, & upon contacting her to try & resolve this issue she basically told me to stop annoying her. Secondly, throughout the tenancy she was again slow at processing anything & never took care of any of the issues we had, but instead responded by blaming us for issues which had been clearly apparent from before we moved in. Thirdly, she handled our leaving of the property terribly. She made personal verbal attacks on both of us, came within inches of my face & shouted at me, & when confronted on the phone responded simply by hanging up. Lastly, I have spoken to six of her previous tenants since leaving the property, all of whom had trouble getting their deposits back. The first of whom was the previous tenant in the property that we stayed in - she informed us that Linda was withholding her deposit for various bits of work that needed to be done in the property such as gardening etc - none of which was ever done, the property that we moved into had nothing done for our arrival. Another tenant told me that she would show up at their property unannounced, another told me that she was driven out of Helston because she had annoyed so many tenants. It is also worth mentioning that at the start of our tenancy, when she discovered that we were in touch with the previous tenant, she was very rude to us on the phone telling us that we had no right to talk to her - obviously this was because she had all of the above to hide. However, the only reason we were in touch with the previous tenant was because Linda did not show up at the property viewing but left the tenant to deal with it! Bottom line is stay away, she has caused us so much stress that in the end we told her to keep our deposit because we just wanted her out of her lives - however, she still told us that she would be sending us a bill on top of keeping our rather large deposit.
