After several disputes with this company and its directors, I decided enough was enough and tried to extricate myself from my contract with them (I'd been a client for about two and a half years). They hit me with a ‘cancellation fee' of £1161. I queried it with them and they tried to bamboozle me with a load of legalese to try and justify their actions. I took them to the Property Ombudsman who instructed them to pay me back £938! I very much regret appointing them to manage as my agents.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
