We ended up with them as letting agents unwillingly. Unfortunately, our previous agent retired and sold her business to them. It was good with her, she would always find tenants before the previous ones moved out and she would perform any maintenance or settle requests on the day. Capital Letters has been a truly down, not only due to their poor communications skill but also by their threatening tone when willing to split ways. My tenants gave their notice mid December. I trusted they would find a replacement quite easily but it was an entire mess. I sent them emails (none answered) and called to ask about where are they posting the ads and they had viewings. They only had promises on the phone. They would not do anything independently unless asked. They were so lazy that I felt like I was harassing them by the amount of calls I had to give them to simply carry out a cleaning of the flat. When I finally decided to part ways with them I was met with rudeness and threats. Natasha the agent was bragging about her 30 years experience where she never had an issue (mind you she is incapable of replying to email or move a finger you) and Steven the manager would not a knowledge there were issues with the handling of the situation. They wouldn’t release the deposit to tenants until LDS was contacted and just made the experience miserable. The letting agent we contracted found tenants in 1 week and everything has been easy and cordial with them. Stay far away from Capital Letters Aberdeen.
