Avoid This Letting Agency – Negligent and Unethical If I could give zero stars, I would. This agency repeatedly ignored serious maintenance issues throughout our tenancy. We reported a foul smell in the kitchen and persistent damp on the walls just after moving in, yet nothing was done despite multiple complaints. It wasn’t until the council got involved and imposed mandatory structural improvements that these issues were finally acknowledged. In hindsight, there were clear signs of these structural failures before we even moved in, which the agency willfully ignored. The boiler was an ongoing nightmare. It broke down so many times we lost count, leaving us without heating or hot water for days in winter temperatures. Even British Gas confirmed the unit was too old and needed replacing, but the landlord refused. When the landlord finally visited, they were dismissive and rude. The letting agency was scared of them and would not speak up. On top of this, black mould was present in every room, making the living conditions completely unsafe. The agency failed in its duty to ensure the property was safe and habitable. Proving just how dire the situation was, the house sat empty for 10 months after we moved out because of the extensive work required imposed by the council to make it livable again. This work should have been done long before we ever signed a lease. The only positve glimp was that we got our full deposit back. Their lack of care for tenants’ well-being is appalling. They continue to protect negligent landlords at the expense of residents. Do yourself a huge favour and stay far away from this agency.
