I am sharing my experience with Taylors (Stourbridge) to warn others of the aggressive and unsubstantiated claims I faced following a 6year tenancy. Taylors attempted to claim £1,047.50 'damages' on a property they had already sold 'as seen'. The independent DPS adjudicator dismissed the vast majority of their claims, highlighting a significant lack of evidence and professional due diligence: Fabricated Loss: Taylors claimed the property sale price was reduced by £10,000 due to its condition. The adjudicator’s report explicitly states that Taylors provided 'no evidence' to support this massive assertion. Attempted Betterment: They sought £420 cleaning and £420 an ovenhob. The adjudicator awarded £0.00 both, noting that the landlord suffered no actual loss. The report also blocked claims 10yearold carpets, stating that any award would result in 'betterment to the landlord, which is not permitted.' False Accusations: Taylors initially accused me of 'taking' the ovenhob. They were forced to make a Uturn and £420 once it was proven the appliances were my own property—a fact they failed to check before making the claim. Contradictory Conduct: While their Lettings department claimed the house was 'unsatisfactory,' their Sales department marketed it as 'attractive and wellpresented' £170,000. Regulatory Issues: I have been forced to report Taylors to the ICO a significant GDPR breach involving the leak of sensitive financial data, and a formal is currently open with the Property Redress Scheme (PRS). This agent’s attempt to claim over £1,000 without evidence was described by the adjudicator as having 'no additional loss.' If you value your deposit and your data, look elsewhere

We are sellers and given the current state of the propertyy market did not expect a quick sale. It took a year but we are satisfied with the way Taylors dealt with it as they kept us in touch on a regular basis and assisted us with paperwork to support a court action regarding the... Considering this agent is the largest in the area, it seems they take customers for granted. staff dont seem to know much about the properties they are selling, non existant customer service, Mr Taylor can talk the talk but unfortunatley cant walk the walk. Offices set in the 1980s with technology to match. Come on taylors pull yourself together, very dissapointed in their overall performance considering i had a £400,000 budget, cant understand why you are the peoples choice, must be the newspaper advertising
