I would tag this agent as poor and is well deserved. The 2 stars are earned the slightly above ceiling price achieved, but there is much more to earning the full 5 stars than just the sales price…... they loose stars because of; From the very start, the overpromising and a typical estate agent sales pitch and iPad presentation. Very smarmy and over the top. The sales person said we would have contact with him the entire process of the property sale and also he said, we aren’t like their competitors. He said “with competitors you’ll speak to the main man to start with but then have to deal with anyone who answered the phone and we’re not like that”. It transpires they do exactly that… we never spoke to him again or received any emails the entire 6 months it took to complete. The agent who showed buyers around our property blatantly lied as our Ring cam footage picked up her repeatedly saying to potential buyers that we had a south facing garden. We didn’t and not close. The progressive/ progressions “team” or as it turns out, one person, loved to state her 30+ years experience but, there is anything out the norm (which there wasn’t) was met with “I’ve never experienced that before”. You also get the strong feeling that they support the buyer more than the seller (who is actually paying them) to keep the sale going, showing lack of support you the seller. Overall a poor service with staff that are reactive instead of proactive and that give off the typical estate agent vibe. I would never recommend them. FYI their “standard” 1% fee that “everyone” is asked to pay, is negotiable. If they don’t agree to a lesser fee, go the competitor nextdoor. They also try and charge you on top of this fee AML checks that they want. Other agents cover this (I’ve checked). If they want it, pay it. You’ll be paying this again with your solicitor.
