Having rented property for nearly 20 years, I have never had as many issues as I had when renting with Oakwood. Broken front doors that went unfixed for 3 months, a boiler that took 9 weeks to be fixed (when it was freezing outside) and only after the council got involved. A mouse infestation that went on the entire 8 months that we lived there...I could go on as these were just the worst issues. I am sure Oakwood are great for landlords or if you are selling property, but as a renter you are ignored & treated as if you are lying at best, or that your needs do not matter at worst. And all this for a flat that is nearly the average person's monthly income. Not acceptable.

Sold the house two days after it went on the market for very close to the asking price and we were VERY happy with the price. Beware Landlords. I think they have got to big to care for landlords, I even had 1 tenant damage my property, then they gave the deposit back and rehomed them in one of their other properties, good luck to that landlord now...communication gets missed, no one responds, they don't care as long ... I used them to rent my flat, no rent for 6 months, when they finally got around to issuing court papers I turned up at court and the papers were filled out incorrectly with them. Not even an appology. I ended up going to Agent opposite who issued the papers correctly for me (at no charge)... Read Full Review
