Terrible Experience - Avoid this Agency and Property at all costs!❌ I had an extremely disappointing experience with Grampian Accommodation Agency. I initially contacted them through Zoopla to arrange a viewing for a ground-floor flat at 275 Great Northern Road, which I was booking on behalf of my sister, who was moving to Aberdeen to study from January 2024. The flat looked fine during the viewing, but the agent showing us around seemed unclear about many things. Despite the uncertainty, as we wanted to book something nearby soon, we booked the flat for 6 months, paying the full rent and deposit before moving in. After my sister moved in, we quickly realized how poorly maintained the property was. There were numerous issues that we had to report, and it took multiple calls and emails to get anything fixed. We even made a video of the entire flat before moving in to document everything. One of the biggest problems was the energy meter, which had a bad rating that we weren't informed about. As a result, my sister faced extremely high energy bills, despite the heating being ineffective due to old radiators. Grampian Accommodation Agency offered no support or solution to this. To make matters worse, the glass from a corner cupboard fell on its own while my sister was out, and they charged her for it after moving out. My sister had thoroughly cleaned the flat, taken photos, and recorded everything before leaving, but when it came to the deposit, they still deducted £500 for vague and unfair reasons. She sent them all the evidence, but they ignored it and dismissed her claims. Dealing with this agency, particularly with a guy named Matthew in their office, was an absolute nightmare. He was rude, unhelpful, and showed no interest in resolving the issues we faced. Avoid Grampian Accommodation Agency at all costs—especially 275 Great Northern Road. You'll regret living there, and you'll have to fight tooth and nail to get any of your deposit back.
