The heartbreak purple bricks have caused myself has literally brought me to my knees, My Partner passed away and through my bereavement/grief I started to look for properties as I couldn't bare to live with those final sad memories at home, I made an appointment to view a property with purple bricks, on the day of my appointment I couldn't face that viewing, just felt overwhelmed after the trauma of losing my soulmate, I was contacted by Simon a purple bricks agent who asked why I hadn't been to view, I gave him my reasons he then asked if I was selling my home I said yes and explained my reasons why, from then on I was bombarded with phone calls from him, my head was spinning and I had widow's brain which is an actual thing and if googled it's accurate, I told Simon I was struggling to understand him at times but his sale pitch had no empathy, his sale was greed and I was just pound signs, I agreed to sell with them (widow's brain) said through gritted teeth, as from that point my life tumbled out of control, I did all the work, viewings which no one was vetted, it was relentless, people constantly coming who openly admitted they didn't have funds and weren't thinking of selling their properties for a few more years, my plans were measured wrong and doors added upstairs which caused confusion to buyers, the price of my property led buyers to offer very low offers due to mistakes on PB behalf, I couldn't even contact Simon most of the time , and I was literally falling apart with grief, and i contemplated joining my deceased partner just to escape purple bricks and there never ending nightmare, i just couldn't face there lack of support during my sale, I opted to sell at auction, there choice of auction company, even worse, I told him a one day auction was what I wanted, but no , it was a monthly auction, and I couldn't pull out , the offers were a joke, but I was becoming burnt out with grief and selling my property, the auction ask for a £5,000 non refundable deposit, so the offers were so low to cover the deposit fee too, I literally caved in and took a massive drop in price, I only just managed to pay solicitors fees, PB solicitors absolutely shocking, I also had to pay Goto auctions, I'm now being hounded for PB fees, which I question why. My house sold at auction I paid there fees, what am I paying this low life PB company for? The nightmare? My suffering at the lowest stage of my life ? My stress showing people around that blatantly had no plans to buy or sell there own property? The constant phone calls/messages pleading for help to sell my property with no one ever getting back to me? PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY before selling with PURPLE BRICKS, this company almost finished me off, I'm now taking it further , PB you are low life.

Dealing with a online real estate agent Purplebricks is a nightmare for us buying a property. The first day we visit a house where the hired freelance viewing assistant does not have the pincode to open the key box. The freelance assistant already file a complaint with Purplebricks two days earlier with the same issue where he also had to disappoint potential viewers. Nothing was done to sort this issue in those days and therefor we were the second viewers he had to disappoint. Onwards to the next house, bit of a walk away from public transport, and at that next address there was nobody to open the door. Ofcourse Purplebricks blaims this on the owner who was supposed to show the place to us. With their beautiful Purplebricks sign in the garden they still don't take responsibility for the end to end service. Both cases show why you need have a local real estate agent who has knowledge of the neighbourhood, knows the house him or herself, and can actually add value to the visit and to the conversation with the potential buyer. When you call Purplebricks better have enough credit on your phone since they will put you on hold long and regularly. The last issue is now they want to have our own postal address certified by a solicitor ($$) while that was not the case with the previous purchase few months ago with a local real estate agent. Let us all do ourselves a favour and do business with local real estate agents who actually add value to the sales and buying process.
