Convicted murderer from a notorious Liverpool gang shooter family, drug mule, bully XL breeder, friends of murderer. These are the people the horrid incompetents at Entwistle Green (subsidiary of countrywide) put into my home. I made the mistake of trusting entwistle green with renting and “full management” of my home whilst I was away. The first tenant “passed all referencing checks”. It was a young female. She paid rent late (more than 2 weeks late most times) 90% of the time. She did not pay the last two months rent. I had to evict her through the courts before she left. She caused thousands of pounds of damage. Entwistle had ZERO interest in helping when things were getting difficult, instead delegating all the chasing and court navigation back to me, as well as giving seriously bad and damaging advice when pressed. Turns out this tenant was the girlfriend of a convicted murderer, who when he went to jail, she stopped paying rent. The agent admitted they would come in to pay cash. One of the workers, who’s name is incredibly old fashioned and common admitted “6 months of rent up front” was enough to pass referencing. I was shocked to hear this. The agent and countrywide refused to give me ID or any information at all stating “GDPR”. Countrywide’s dats officer was arrogant and uncaring of my need to take the rogue tenant to court and wilfully obstructive using GDPR as an excuse to hold onto the information I instructed him to obtain. I had to hire a private investigator before starting proceedings. The subsequent tenant brought to my attention later that there were constant police raids at the house and the tenant replaced the front door with a “rock door” as the police broke my door down. None of this was run past me. Entwistle acted like the tenant did me a favour. The subsequent tenant also “passed referencing”. Soon after, she moved her boyfriend in, who never admitted who he was not came on the official documentation. Looked like another mule but I was trapped. When I arrived at the house it was wrecked. The back garden was torn up by the dogs. Boards everywhere. Dog poo everywhere. Everything chewed inside and out. The door handle had been broken off the garage door and the hole taped up. The automatic opening function was destroyed. There was no access. Clearly they were dealing from the garage. Neighbours were afraid and told me he was also a bully XL breeder. Entwistle refused to change the contract to incorporate penalties so I couldn’t recover losses anyway. The manager and her staff were incredibly rude. They told me to put their address on the court documents. Everyone knows that doing that would result in a failed court summons and all associated pain. They never answer their phone. They don’t do anything you ask. They pass you to countrywide their umbrella company, at every opportunity, who defend the tenants. At one point they admitted the had a forwarding address then when I kept asking for it they kept stating GDPR then finally “we don’t have a forwarding address”. Eventually I got so fed up and concerned I sold my home which I’ve had for 10 years. I took a huge loss on that. They of course, claimed ignorance about the calibre of people they were putting in, but they’re not idiots. They met these people. They took the cash. The gangster was infamous. They just didn’t care or at worst, complicit. My formal complaints were met with contempt and incompetence, blaming me for the issues. They gaslighted me trying to say it was my fault. Even though I had £100 a month insurance covering the entire house, entwistle had no interest in using them, instead hounding me to do their job for them. I had to fight with them to do their job. They tried to undersell my property and tell me it was worth less than it was, despite the rental market being strong at the time. I made several formal complaints with more detail and events which I could record here, but this review would end up several more pages long and if you have read this far, you get the idea how bad they are.

The fees are what they are, other agents came in slightly cheaper, but did not have the interest to sell my flat. Entwistles pulled out all the stops and sold it, I retained the original estate agent who hardly sent any viewings to the flat - possibly two in three months, Entwhustles sent numerous.

Awful. So many hidden fees. Told there was no initial charges yet the first months rent all went to them for "advertising fees" then there was renewal fees and a cease of contract fee which is nowhere to be seen or discussed initially. Also promised a floor plan on the initial advert which never materialised so even fees they collected for specific tasks that weren't done! They were also keen to lower the price of the rent within 3 days of it going on the market due to "limited interest"
